Our stay at Banner Sky was perfect. The house is beautifully decorated and charming. All the amenities seemed new and worked flawlessly. Perfect for our family of four. We hung out together, played games, shared meals, and watched the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade together. The gas fireplace adds to the coziness. We will remember this trip forever!

Close to Hikes! Great Property

Would highly recommend. Very clean and well stocked and decorated cabin. Enough room for 1 family. Close to great hikes - Rough Ridge, Profile, Otter Falls, Carver’s gap about 30 min. Off the highway but quiet. Close to Banner Elk downtown.

Beautiful!

Loved every minute of this vacation. The house was very clean and cozy. It had everything we needed and then some. Very quiet community and beautiful views of the mountains all around. My kids loved the swing. There are several restaurants in the area and Food Lion supermarket nearby. We found Chinese takeout in the same Food Lion plaza. Thank you so much better Banner sky.

Excellent value!

Excellent property. Very new and well appointed. While not a large cabin, the layout makes excellent use of the space. Very attractive interior, and with the location only a mile from town, we thought it was an excellent value.

Wonderful Winter Getaway

Beautiful cabin with nice cozy touches. Very comfortable. The kids enjoyed playing in the snow in the backyard & warming up by the fire pit. I would definitely stay here again.

Just perfect!!!

My family and i truly enjoyed our stay. Being from Florida and not being used to snow, this cabin was in the perfect location. It is close to everything Banner Elk has to offer. Looking forward to returning every year.

Great location, very nice cabin.

The cabin is in a great location if you are here to ski or enjoy area parks or whatnot. The cabin is almost brand new and it is put together well, tall doors, high quality bathrooms, granite countertops and very nice overall. The tankless water heater is a bonus for a cabin. The gas fireplace is OK but puts off very little heat so it is really for aesthetics only. Do not use Apple or Google to get to this property, they will take you to the wrong place. This is located directly across 194 from the Elk River Airport. One of the comments I saw on VRBO was about the road noise. When I looked at the windows, it was determined that they were not shut correctly. These are Pella windows that have two locking clasps, you have to loosen the bottom one a bit to get the window to release and then make sure that the upper clamp grabs the window and then lock that down before locking the bottom one. When I did that, almost all the road noise went away. If you are going to ski while here, get your tickets ahead of time and be there an hour before they open once you get them. If you are coming in from the Boone area, go via 194 through Valle Crucis, the traffic on 184 by Sugar is a parking lot. All in all, a great stay in a beautiful place.

Mountain Weekend

This cabin was cute and clean. It was small, but that was clear from the photos. The only issues we had were minor to us, but could be irritating for others. The house is very close to a busy road. You could definitely hear cars as they passed. The house does have a sound machine in the master to try to cover this noise. Additionally we couldn't get the lock on the house to work. Supposedly there was a trick where you turn the knob and key at the same time, but we couldn't make it work. We would stay here again.
