We arrived during a heat wave to a 96-degree house that was supposed to be air conditioned! The thermostat could be set to heat or no heat! We quickly called the owner who said the house was not set for air conditioning yet and a technician will come as soon as possible tomorrow morning. He did come the following morning. In the meanwhile, I was told to open the windows, many of which could not be opened and if they could be, the screens were in poor condition and it was 90 out side. The bedroom over the garage had a separate wall heat exchange AC unit. However, the remote was nowhere to be found in the room. Later, it was found elsewhere but the batteries were dead. The AC was not sufficient so that the cold air would go downstairs which was suggested by the owner. Also, when the kitchen/dining/living area was cool the main bedroom (king suite) on that floor did not cool.We were of group of 10 for 7 nights. So, for 8 of us it was uncomfortable nights. On the positive side, the open design kitchen/dining/living area was very spacious, comfortable and conducive for social activities. Also, the beds were notably very comfortable. There were plenty of closets. It was great having 4 bathrooms which were all nicely renovated. The internet was excellent throughout the house. It was nice having extra tables and chairs. The dishwasher detergent dispenser did not release the detergent during the wash cycle. Lots of fixing needed. We all still had a good time during stay.
