There’s something about the Blue Mountains that gets inside your soul. It’s all about taking time to explore this incredibly scenic part of the world and an opportunity to stop, take a deep breath and let the natural beauty transform you. Spectacular Sunrises at Govetts Leap lookout and Sunsets nearby at Hargraves Lookout. Mrs McCalls is a 5 minute walk to the village centre and less than a 10 minute walk to Blackheath train station. For hikers and climbers - Blackheath is a fantastic base.
The space Step back in time in a piece of Blackheath’s history. What was once McCall's General Store is now your Blue Mountains accommodation. McCalls is a light filled studio and is open plan. Experience the original floorboards and soaring ceilings. Mrs McCalls is well insulated, air conditioned with a gas fireplace.
The property has changed hands since 1880. In 1938 a sketched map of Blackheath indicates that a building on site existed as “McCalls Baker”. The store enjoyed continuous use from the period of 1940-1972 and is considered to have social significance during and post war in Blackheath.
McCalls is a perfect place to relax and unwind and is ideally suited for couples, solo travellers or a couple of friends. Maximum guests are 2.

You will experience a king sized bed with a luxurious mattress with quality bed linen. The lounge area is directly in front of the gas fireplace and has a 2 seater Chesterfield and a 1 seater tub chair paired with an antique cedar centre table.
You have access to free WIFI and Netflix, Stan, Disney+, Amazon Prime and other networks through the smart TV.
We have a KITCHENETTE but NO COOKING facilities. We have glasses, bowls & plates, cutlery chopping boards, utensils to make sandwiches. We also have a bar fridge, freezer, microwave, toaster and kettle.
I provide suggestions of hikes, places to eat, places of interest etc and will message you all this information upon your booking.
Check out is strictly at 10am unless communicated with me. I will always do my best to allow a later check out but due to certain periods we are always booked so have a quick turnover.
Check in is at 2pm and if your space is available earlier then I will message you to let you know.
After a reservation is confirmed, go to your Trips page to get useful information about your reservation, such as the check-in and checkout time, the listing's address, your host's contact information and your billing receipt.
Parking will be on the street directly in front of McCalls.
Please note, we do not charge a cleaning fee so we ask that you keep your space reasonably clean. We do appreciate it and have been fortunate to have our guests be respectful.

Great property near Blackheath town centre
A nice, spacious, studio style living that is well presented and in a rather unique building.The gas fireplace add some ambience for cold Blue Mountains nights, and is capable of keeping the property warm throughout (there is also reverse cycle air-con). A short walk to Blackheath town centre, this place is great for a stay in the area.

Highly recommended for a couple
Lovely, clean, well appointed little holiday home, suitable for a couple. Large king size bed with good bedding, good towels. Little kitchenette is well appointed with toaster, kettle, microwave, plates, cups and glasses and even a dishwasher. Host leaves a good selection of teas and voffees. Nice gas flame heater which we needed on a very cold weekend in summer. Walking distance to town. A thoroughly enjoyable stay. A warning though the taxi service is non existent, even though they accepted our booking.

Cosy weekend for two
We had a very relaxed and comfortable stay at this beautifully appointed accommodation. A short walk from Blackheath shops, we enjoyed a cosy night in by the fireplace after long days bush walk. Thanks for making our stay so comfortable and easy.
Mrs McCall's was walking distance to everything that we needed. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was excellent. The layout worked very well. The only thing, and it is a very small thing that we found as a couple was the lack of a small table with a couple of chairs to have breakfast at. This would have made our stay perfect. We would recommend staying at Mrs McCall's shop as a base where you can enjoy some lovely walks through the back streets of Blackheath as well as bush walks.

Amazing property
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Nicole's beautifully appointed studio. We were very impressed with the care and thought put in to all of the special details provided in the studio. We loved the fact that it was immaculately clean and also within walking distance of all the cafes, restaurants and amenities of the village. The bed was extremely comfortable and the gas fire and air conditioning made it very cosy. We would highly recommend this property. A 10/10 from us.

Wonderful accommodation!
We enjoyed a great weekend in this cosy, comfortable, well appointed place. It’s clean and beautifully decorated. Everything is within walking distance including restaurants, cafes and shops. We will be back!
