Cozy Lakefront Cabin on Big Lake, Alaska

The cabin is brand new and only 20’ from the lake shore. All the rooms have a beautiful view of Big Lake. The cabin is cozy ( 800 square feet), but perfect for a family of 4-6 people. The detached bunk house is connected by a short breezeway and has a triple bunk bed and a pull-out couch. TVs in both the bunk house and family room. The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, and range/cooktop. There is a stackable washer/dryer in the bathroom. Kayaks and dock space are available. Boat Rentals and jet ski rentals available at the local marina. This is the perfect location for a family getaway or a romantic vacation for two. We appreciate our guests honoring that there is no smoking permitted on the property.
The cabin is heated and features a kitchen and a patio, and there's space to spread out with 2 bedrooms. Other standard amenities include a washing machine and a coffee maker.

Our stay at the Loons Nest was more than I could have ever wished for. Contemplative hours watching the water&sky as the light changed on the water from the fabulously situated decks. Amazing views from all windows as I did the mundane along with my "Auntie at the Wedding" prep. It was a gift to have room for meaningful yoga practice. Our sleep was restorative in this perfectly appointed cabin. My husband was very happy. Pretty skippy amazing!

Amazing Cabin, Warm Hosts

Beautiful, amazing property. The hosts were kind enough to allow us to park our seaplane on their dock the whole week. They were very hospitable. Everything was perfect. Highly recommend.

Big Stay in Big Lake !

We had a such a wonderful stay at the cabin! It is beautifully appointed with a stunning lakefront view. Our hosts took such thoughtful care of us and made sure we enjoyed every minute of our vacation. We would highly recommend The Loons Nest and hope to stay there again next summer!

Brand new, beautiful lake house!

This was the best place in the world for us. Absolutely perfect layout, awesome Alaskan decor, and the most wonderful, peaceful views to wake up to! Epic sunrise and sunsets on the water- and so serene and quiet. I felt extremely safe in the neighborhood. Too many amenities to list- the host clearly went above and beyond the norm to make her guests feel at home! So kind and generous. Excellent communication, also. Our family can’t wait for our next stay! There’s absolutely no other place we would ever want to choose when we’re in Alaska, other than this place. Wish it was our own! We just kept saying “Wow… well done!” throughout our weeklong stay.

Gorgeous cabin on the lake!!!

We had an amazing time! The cabin is beautifully done with wood and right on the lake! Perfect place to relax or enjoy after a day of seeing Alaska! The lake is awesome to take pictures of the sunset over the water! The owners are extremely nice and helpful, I would 100% recommend and stay again. I can't wait to go back!!

Beautiful place, fabulous owners!

Wonderful communication, gorgeous property right on the water! Triple bunks in their own bunkhouse made the kids feel right at home. Wonderful amenities, quiet and peaceful. Thank you for the fabulous time!
