If you’re going to Big Bear with a dog or two, this is an amazing property. I have a German Shepherd and he loved the backyard. Property was super clean and cozy. I can’t say enough about the host. She always answered in a timely manner and was super helpful with any questions we had.

We had an amazing stay at this cabin for a birthday weekend getaway, and it honestly exceeded expectations. From the moment we arrived, everything matched the listing photos perfectly—no surprises, just exactly what we were hoping for.The cabin had such a cozy, warm atmosphere that made it easy to relax right away. It felt private and peaceful, which was perfect for unplugging for a couple of days. We brought our dogs along, and it was great to have a place that was genuinely pet-friendly without feeling restrictive.We even got lucky with a snowy day during our stay, which made the whole experience feel even more special and scenic. Sitting inside while it snowed outside just added to that perfect cabin vibe.The host was great; she was responsive, helpful, and made everything smooth from start to finish.Overall, this was exactly the kind of weekend escape we needed. We had an amazing experience booking through VRBO. From start to finish, everything was smooth, easy, and stress-free. Absolutely awesome! We had a wonderful stay at the fantastic Winterland cabin during a big snow storm. CLEAN, CUTE, COMFORTABLE & COZY, this cabin has all the amenities PLUS extra touches that made our vacation to Big Bear a dream. Bonus points for close proximity to both Snow Summit and Big Bear skiing lifts. Great neighbor with walkable streets and gorgeous homes.Special touches included - a welcome tray of chapsticks, candle and Vitamin C packs. All the cooking supplies are in excellent condition. Host goes above & beyond to ensure guests are taken care of and have everything they need. Our two dogs loved the secure fenced-in yard and our son enjoyed the ping-pong table, sleds and snowball maker toys. Beds and couches are super comfortable and there are extra blankets for everyone to stay extra snuggly. Especially loved the hair turban and nice hair dryer. Heating system worked great and there are extra space heaters if needed. Overall, it was one of the best VRBO properties our family has stayed at because of the extra attention to detail and care. We look forward to returning soon!Thank you so much!!!

This cabin was perfect! There were so many perfect little touches that made our stay even better. The dogs had a blast in the yard and the humans enjoyed the jacuzzi! The beds were extremely comfortable and the bedding was very good quality and soft. The cabin was very clean and well taken care of. Very close to everything- highly recommend!

The property is beautifully maintained and was spotlessly clean upon our arrival. We thoroughly enjoyed the amenities, especially the hot tub, while our dogs loved exploring the secure and spacious yard. The host left several fun, thoughtful treats for us, which was a lovely touch. The host herself is exceptionally nice, and we are confident she would go out of her way to assist with any needs. We would absolutely love to rent this property again and highly recommend it to others!

Hands down the best rental we've had in big bear. Beautiful property and well maintained. Owner is fantastic and very communicative. It was an amazing romantic getaway for a long weekend. We had a great time and will definitely be back.

What an incredible cabin! Loved every minute of our stay there...every space was immaculately clean, beds were so comfortable, backyard was the perfect space for our family to relax in the evenings. There is thought put into every room and item in this cabin--Jen's hospitality is tangible in all the little touches. My son had a blast playing the cornhole, ping pong, and darts. Hope to return soon!

Big Bear was an R&R trip for all of us. Winterland surpassed our expectations and provided such a thoughtful, warm and welcoming experience. The home is supplied with a variety of items to make a great stay for any guest. They also had the most perfect welcoming gifts - we thoroughly enjoyed and used every single day. We had an amazing time and can't wait to return! The cabin was very clean, beds were extra comfy and hot tub was wonderful. We went hiking nearby and the village is very close with lots of food and shopping. The host was very responsive and made our stay fantastic! The backyard is fenced and our little doggie enjoyed the big beautiful yard.

Easy check-in in a great neighborhood. We loved that it was so dog friendly and that our dogs could roam the fenced in yard. There were dog bowls and even some dry food for them. The beds were comfortable and the linens were high quality. On our 2nd night the power went out from about 7:30p till 1am. The host texted us promptly and let us know that a tree fell on a power line. We appreciated the lanterns and electric candles in the home. We fell asleep with the windows open so got the true cabin experience until the a/c kicked back on. Wish we could have used the hot tub but due to the power outage, we didn't get in. It was very clean though. Will definitely return. Big Bear is beautiful even in August!

Everything was at least as we expected or exceeded our expectations. My wife and I stayed with our pup and had all of the amenities we needed, including a fully stocked kitchen and bathroom, plenty of linens and pillows in the bedrooms and lots of blankets in the living room to use on the couches. On top of that there was a welcome basket with chapsticks, a candle and a small bag of coffee for us as well as bowls, treats and a small sample of food for our pup as well, which we always appreciate as big dog people. The location was great for us, short drive to the lake, the village, golf course, etc and the neighborhood was very quiet. We thoroughly enjoyed the backyard and used the hot tub and fire pit plenty. Overall, I have no complaints and would 100% stay here again.

Winterland Cottage is absolutely fabulous! We, 2 seniors and our dog, stayed for 5 nights and it was perfect. Jen was so pleasant to deal with and communication was a breeze. The cabin has everything you could possibly want for a perfect Big Bear experience. The location is ideal...close to everything yet in a very quiet neighborhood. We loved playing ping pong, ring toss darts and corn hole. There are numerous games and puzzles available as well as a hot tub in the backyard. Speaking of the backyard, we truly enjoyed early mornings and evenings watching all of the birds, squirrels and chipmunks. In fact, a bluejay left a feather for us! Inside, the kitchen has everything needed to prepare meals and the beds are so comfortable. We really hated to leave and anticipate making Winterland Cottage our home away from home any time we visit Big Bear.
