The room was kind of funky with a luminescent yellow wall that housed the washroom. We liked it! It was small, but had a fridge and even some nice amenities, like slippers. Sadly though, the noise outside the room was disruptive, even with ear plugs. There is a hostel nearby plus there was construction outside, across the street there at the end of October.

Location is perfect. Staff were kind and friendly. But the bathroom was very tiny and there was a constant sewer smell from the bathroom and heard a water coming down in the pipes when someone using bathroom from upstairs. I was glad I only stayed one night there.

Our room was surprisingly small, given the photos. We had to go out and buy our own non-dairy milk (and other breakfast provisions), which we then left in the hotel kitchen. The hotel never thought to recompense us for this.

I recently stayed at this hotel and found a lot to like about the area. The location was excellent—very walkable, with plenty of shops and places to eat right nearby, which made it really convenient to explore and enjoy the surroundings. However, the hotel itself was a bit rundown and not as clean as I would have hoped. While it was a decent place in terms of convenience, the maintenance and cleanliness definitely left a bit to be desired.

Great location. Very comfortable bed. Odd washroom area. Ok breakfast. No hot food. Hard boiled eggs, cereal, bread, croissants, yogurt, fruit, etc etc. Ask to toast your bread as no toaster to use. No AC, so if hot out, will be a problem. It was very hot in our room upon arrival. They provide a fan but with the room key functioning for electricity, once you leave the room fan shuts off. It did eventually cool down as we were there in Sept but keep that in mind.

Nice hotel, great location.

Rooms a little small, bathroom kind of like a cruise ship “pod,” but clean & good condition. Well located in Old Town. Lots of shops, dining, easy/walkable to local sights & transportation. Great location for access to day trips.

Loved the location & the shower! Also the staff is nice and friendly. Overall did not like the room, It is a small room and was hot. The windows we needed to open but it was on the first floor so everyone across could Look in. That was not convenient and uncomfortable. Sofa Chair was broken we couldn’t sit on it. Poor lighting only one switch for all or none. The bathroom has an etched glass you can see the shadow of the person showering so if you are with other family members it might be uncomfortable too. That obligated us to shower with the light off so our sillohoutte wouldn’t be seen. It was ok stay.

We had a street facing room. The weather was very, very hot and all they could offer was a fan that squeaked and couldn't offer a replacement. We were forced to sleep with the windows CLOSED because the club across the street was playing loud music all night, outdoors under the arcade, and the noise of the (amplified) music and the people was unbearable. We were forced to choose between the noise or sweltering. We chose to leave the next day rather than spend a second night like that. This is not the fault of the ownership or staff (except for the condition of the fan), but people need to understand the conditions here before they book. Definitely ask for a room not facing the street.

Perfect location, very central. A few minutes walk from the bear pit and River Aare. About ten mins walk from the train station. Easy check in, comfy beds. The bathroom was a bit different but clean and usable. Simple breakfast with nice coffee. Great value and we enjoyed our stay.
