The hotel is very conveniently located as it is very close to the Diagonal avenue. The entrance is pretty disappointing for a four star hotel but the room I stayed was very big, very clean, very comfortable and that was a four or five star room. The price was also pretty good as hotels in that area are pretty expensive if you’re looking for a four star or five star hotel as I was.

The hotel was situated in a quiet and not so touristy area-its near the fontana station-complimentary water on the guest lounge-overtime the area grew on us-it was such a lovely walk-more local vibe-on our first night the building had fire alarm go on early in the morning due to water leakage-it scared us a bit but overall the place was amazing and we had an amazing experience during our stay

The room was very nice and spacious. I enjoyed going to the cafe downstairs, Cafélunya, I highly recommend grabbing breakfast there. Otherwise the area was nice and while there is nightlife we didn’t have trouble sleeping at night with the noise. We also liked how close the hotel was to the bus and train, it was very convenient for location. I just wish our room phone worked as well as the remote to the tv when we used it

We had paid almost £417.00 for a 3-night stay from 12 -15 July. During our road trip to the airport, I began feeling unwell. My illness presentation became severe while at the airport, and for that reason, I agreed to the advice to seek medical attention and not to travel. A postponment request was placed with the accommodation to allow for rescheduling the date, but sadly, the request was denied. Losing all our 3 nights' payment without a concession is rather dispiriting and cruel...

This is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in outside of North America. I'm very happy that I chose the HG City Suites for my stay in Barcelona. After I decided not to stay in the City Center I looked for a place outside of that area and after a lot of searching on Google Earth, chose Gracia and the HG City Suites and I'm glad I did. The rooms are spacious (bigger than many of the rooms in the City Center) and quiet and the kitchen area (with a microwave, fridge and range) was a real bonus! We were able to shop for food at an amazing market only a couple of blocks away and have a nice breakfast in the room every morning. The hotel is in a very nice and safe neighborhood with several small restaurants and cafes close by. And the hotel is only a couple of blocks from a subway line (L6 and L7) that can take you to Plaza Catalunya (2 stops) and many other places. The HG price was right, the location was very nice and the staff was great. I definitely recommend it.

Great choice for our first trip to Spain!

Wonderful front desk employees who speak fluent English. We were visiting Spain for the first time. They answered many of our questions patiently! The little kitchenette was helpful. Grocery stores, restaurants and Metro (subway) station are in short walking distance. Safe and walkable neighborhood, not flooded with tourists but in convenient reach from attractions.
