Loved the property — it was clean, well-maintained, and offered a stunning sunset view. However, it’s not very baby-friendly. The kitchen area was extremely small, making it difficult to even prepare quick meals for a baby. The garbage bin was also quite limited, which became an issue for disposing of baby diapers during our 3-day stay. We had booked the property assuming on-demand cleaning services were available (as listed on Expedia), but since it’s a self-serve apartment, there was no support on-site. When we contacted the operator through the number provided, we were informed that no cleaning services were available before checkout. Except for service, I would say its definitely a nice place to stay especially if you are not traveling with baby.

What a perfect little cabin perfectly located for sunsets over the waters of Acadia. Especially nice was the informational texts about the stay. Secret spots to see wildlife, sunsets, cliffs, etc…. We will return again. Located in Schoodic portion of Acadia (much less crowded than Bar Harbor side).

The room and view were very nice, but service was very lacking. Continental breakfast was advertised but not provided. Ownership had a family gathering during our stay which was uncomfortable, and felt like we were imposing on their family reunion. The stay should not have been available if that was planned as the lodge did not feel welcoming with the family and kids using the kitchen to cook breakfast and any other meals, especially in absence of providing the advertised breakfast to paying guests. Additionally, the room didn’t have a trash can.

Our cabin was absolutely magiical at the Bluff House Inn and exactly what you want for a Maine coastal cabin! Don, the owner, was incredibly responsive and gave us numerous tips for our visit. Breakfast was perfect and homemade baked goods were delicious, plus the cookie when we arrived for check in! A must stay in the Acadia area and we will definitely be back!
