Beautiful Mountain Retreat

We can’t say enough great things about our stay at the Pisgah Retreat house. The house itself was spacious, comfortable, clean and perfect for 2 families to share. The property grounds were stunning and peaceful. The hot tub and outdoor fire pit were a bonus. The kids especially loved the game room in the garage. This property is about 20-25 minutes to Looking Glass Falls and Sliding Rock in the Pisgah forest. Close to hiking trails, swimming holes and the town of Brevard. Great location overall. We would not hesitate to stay here again!

Amazing Property

This was an amazing property. Everything about the property is just beautiful. The wildlife we saw during our visit walking through the yard was awesome. We loved the ability to sit on the porch and sit by the fire. The house had everything we needed. The layout was perfect. We definitely plan to come back. We couldn’t say enough positive about the place. Definitely a 5 star location. The only fixes would be to add instructions to go into Brevard before following GPS to the house or you will end up on a 45 minute dirt road adventure. Also, have the email instructions open before getting into the mountains because you will lose signal and not be able to get into the house without driving basically back to town.

Spectacular home!

Absolutely spectacular home & setting! Loved the beautiful, spacious house & the fire pit outside. Only complaint is that the directions were wrong & sent us north instead of south once we got to Brevard, into a national forest to a closed dirt road. The directions also said not to use a GPS, but that was the only way we could get to the property since the property management company couldn’t give us correct directions when we called. GPS was fine for getting us there, and it turned out to be more than worth the trouble of getting there.

Lovely!

Three girlfriends & I stayed at Pisgah Forest Retreat for 4 nights in August. We frequently travel together & always rent from VRBO. This house is among the most comfortable & well-maintained we've stayed in. We like to cook, and the kitchen had everything we needed - including grilling utensils. We really enjoyed relaxing on both the front porch & the screened porch - especially watching the sunset and the the bats come out at dusk. The beds & linens were very comfortable. Among our favorite things were the bazillion butterflies that greeted us on the butterfly bushes when we returned home after a day of hiking. Magistical!!

Great Property, Dismal Property Manager

Our experience with Yonder, the property manager, was horrible. We were provided with the wrong code for the lockbox, and it took over an hour of phone calls, emails, and multiple Yonder employees to finally get it resolved. It delayed the start of our vacation, and our frustration was met with delays, rudeness, and Yonder employees that were not empathetic to the situation, nor eager to resolve the issue. I will avoid homes managed by this company. The good news, the property is just as beautiful as it shows in the listing. Spacious, well appointed, peaceful setting with great views and a spectacular porch with fireplace. A great home, but the property manager made it a bad experience.

Beautiful home in the mountains - nice and remote

The house and location were beautiful. Nice and quiet, very relaxing. The only issue was accessing the home. The directions the host gave lead to a closed road. The home and area do not have cell service which made it very stressful finding an alternate route. We needed to RELY on GPS for an alternate route!!

Pure heaven!

We had the most perfect stay at Pisgah Forest Retreat! The house is absolutely gorgeous and fully stocked with anything you might need! It felt as though we had always lived there!! The property is so beautiful and peaceful. The porches - oh my goodness- wonderful to enjoy coffee in the mornings and wine in the evenings! We had so much fun in the garage game room, hot tub and fire pit in the evenings. It’s a little “off the beaten path” with a bit limited access to immediate options for dining, groceries and cell service. But this is exactly what we were looking for!!! What is in the immediate vicinity is an abundance of natural beauty, waterfalls and trails! This was the family vacation we needed!! We will be back!!!
