Great for couples who want their own space

Having three kings with bathrooms made our stay easy. Everyone had their own space plus shared kitchen, dining & social area. The porch is great & having 2 golf carts lets everyone do their own thing. We were there for a wedding & it was easy to get to get to the venues. Communication was excellent.

Amazing Stay

We can't recommend Summer Wind enough. The layout was perfect for two small families vacationing together. The inside was spotless with no signs of previous pets, despite being pet friendly. The location can't be beat. The customer service was amazing. Great communication prior to checking in, very responsive when we needed help with something, and thorough follow up regarding checkout. We just got back from BHI and are still riding high from our experience. This place is the best!

Great beachfront BHI holiday weekend stay!

Beautiful and spacious home right on the beach was perfect for our holiday weekend vacation. Plenty of room for our kids and family members to spread out, ample living area and plenty of kitchen space to cook in. Walking distance to the beach makes this place a must stay, would definitely stay again. Easy communication with property manager.

Just right!!

We were in town for the Bad water 50 race, and made it a little family vacation. The house was very clean and in a perfect location! The view was spectacular. The ride to the grocery store and pretty much anywhere on the island was only 10 minutes, if that! Rooms were spacious and the kitchen was very well laid out. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and would definitely stay at this property again!

Great vacation stay.

Overall it was a great location. Great beach access and a very friendly atmosphere. The house is roomy and has a great layout. The beds are not comfortable though, so hopefully that is on the short list of things to update. I’d recommend this property to anyone interested in a good relaxing beach vacation.

Steps to beach

We loved our Summer Wynd stay. 3 weeks of heaven with family and friends coming and going. Add a puppy, and it is the perfect vacation. The house layout is simple with bedrooms on each side and an open kitchen, dining, and TV/living area. ItripsNC, are really great. They had bikes tuned up when we mentioned wanting to ride, gave us local names and recommendations, and even supplied our margarita needs from Southport, personally delivering and bringing a couple of bags of ice as a bonus. We highly recommend this property!!!!

Great with one caveat

We loved the house and all the amenities, and the weather was perfect. My one complaint was the quality of the bicycles. It would be nice after paying a premium for the house if they had provided bicycles free of rust and with tires that would hold air. A small thing, I know, but we were forced to use the carts to go anywhere. I'd rent the house again however.

Relaxing Oceanfront

Perfectly situated older home, very nicely remodeled and re-appointed interior with updated kitchen, 3 master bed/baths and a bunkroom for kids. Deck looks out over South Beach, with a semi-private direct walkway to the beach. Very near the Bald Head Island Club. One of the golf carts is a nearly brand new six-seater and wonderful. Easy access, easy in and out. Host very responsive by text. Overall pleasant stay.

Wonderful Birthday Celebration!

The oceanfront property is older, but has had nice upgrades to the kitchen and baths. All systems worked well and close to stores. Only improvement to be made would be screens to the sliding glass doors to take advantage of the cool Fall weather. Management was attentive throughout the process and provided contact info if we needed something during our stay.

Rent was easy. Home needs more work property needs to be cleaned up. BBQ was not clean from last rental. Kitchen sink loose. Needs to be tightened. On beach prop great location Restaurants on bald island very scarce closes too early

great house and view, old carts, and poor kitchen gear

This house has a fantastic view. The layout is great too and the furniture is generally nice. The kitchen is newly renovated. Access to the beach is right there. Lots to love. Do be aware of the following: the twin beds are short and really more for kids so only plan on light/short adults to sleep there. The golf carts had issues. One was missing the back seat and that same cart got a flat tire. Upon inspection it was clear that an old spare tire had been put on it and just left there. The breakdown was predictable and avoidable. Communication around the fix was slow, with promises to keep us posted, but then nothing. It was not fixed in the last three days were were there so we had to do without. Mind you those were news years so clearly fewer people were working. No compensation or help was offered. The Kitchen is poorly stocked. There are 5 mugs so if you are more people and want coffee in the morning, bring more mugs. Normal sized forks were in short supply, only some strange-looking three pronged forks were plentiful. There was no baking sheet. The owner said we could buy one which we did, but the hardware store only had a small one, so we had to abandon making pizzas. Lots of pots and pans with lots of lids that don't actually go with those pots or pans. Sort of your classical lets dump various kitchen stuff in the kitchen and let people figure it out. Otherwise, the house was great. the location, cleanliness and layout in general made up for it and we enjoyed the many puzzles at the house.
