Ferry ride over and Tram to house went smoothly, although someone on another Tram tried to steal one of our bags. we recovered it and were able to get to house in good order.The house was Fantastic! Very spacious, clean and the kitchen was very well appointed with all the utensils required. Kuerig didn't work but the rental manager had a new one there within hours of our calling it in. Great service!

Epic Vacation Home

This was truly one of our favorite beach vacation rental prosperities of all time. The house is beautifully decorated with a family friendly layout. The kitchen was well stocked and the detached bedroom atop of the golf cart garage was a great way to have a little extra room. The six-seater golf cart was so helpful to get us all back and forth to the beach. While this property is on the opposite side of the island from the ferry we LOVED it. Every outing was a great adventure and our 16- and 18-year-olds loved shuttling us around in the golf carts. We will be renting this one again for sure!

Happy Honu review

Great house, great location, super cozy, great beds, but definitely some things to fix up/improve upon. We stayed her a couple years ago and then a week ago and I noticed way more bugs and spiders this time. Our mini fridge never worked. I called on our second day and was told someone would be over the next morning. No one ever showed up. The pull out sofa mattress, absolutely disgusting, a lot of finger prints and foot prints on the walls, especially downstairs where the bunk beds are. Overall, I think we would stay there again if some of those things I listed got taken care of.

Thanksgiving Weekend

We had the best time here and we loved all the amenities of the house. The location was great and the house was perfect for 2 families to stay for the Thanksgiving Holiday! Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us!

Anual BHI Family Vacation

Enjoyed our annual Bald Head Island vacation. Happy Honu worked great for our family! Great amenities and layout. If offered everything we needed. Love the location and the proximity to east beach. 6 and 4 passenger carts and the 4 bikes worked great as well! Would highly recommend staying here.

Great place, but with some issues

We had a great trip. It's a good-size home and we liked that everyone had their own bathroom. The kitchen was well-stocked as was the beach supplies and some of the best bikes I've ever had at a rental. One issue we had was the refrigerator ice dispenser and water dispensers were not working from day one. There wasn't even a flange to depress to get water or ice. This was clearly an issue before. BHI Services made an attempt to have a maintenance guy fix it but then determined that it would be too challenging and told us just to use the two tiny ice trays in the freezer. The other issue was the downstairs bunk bedroom gets hot - like really hot. They are also aware of this and have 3 portable fans in that room. The ceiling fan however was broken and on 2 occasions we requested BHI Services to deal with that and that was never addressed. At some point they just stopped emailing about it. We've had success with BHI Services before, but they are clearly overloaded or just don't care any more. All in all, it's a good place so long as they get the refrigerator fixed and find a way to keep that downstairs room as cool as the rest of the house.

Great Bald Head getaway

We had a great vacation once again on BHI! The house was everything we were looking for. It was well stocked, had plenty of games / activities for the family, beach gear and bikes. Great location! Plenty of outdoor space.

Nice place to stay!

Nice home with good floor plan! 5 bedrooms with 5 baths, make it comfortable for all! Kitchen was well stocked for preparing a Thanksgiving Day meal! Good golf carts and wonderful bikes!
