otel with charm and character

Lovely oldie world hotel , plenty of character, only thing I could fault was the hot water system which when having a shower went very hot without reason so you had to be on your guard, other than that the breakfast was Devine, bacon and scrambled egg was spot on and the home yoghurt was the most delicious thing I have tasted with various topping to add And the bedroom had a really comfy bed and I couldn’t really fault Would definitely return .

Perfect hotel for Bad Salzuflen

Nice quiet location with plenty of parking spaces. Friendly, helpful staff. Great breakfast. Clean and comfortable rooms. Very close to town centre. Perfect.

My recommendation coming from an American is pretty straight forward. The parking situation for this hotel is to put it nicely ridiculous at best. I had to park 2 blocks away the last night of my stay. Now to the internet. You cannot say there is free wifi when you are limited to 500mb per day. The fact that there is a cap and then the speed of the wifi, you cannot do any work from your hotel room. I did a speed test and upload was .25mb/sec. This speed is a joke. Overall the hotel is very nice and the bed was comfortable. The shower was hot and great water pressure. So, if your looking for a quaint hotel in a nice small German town this is your place, as long as you don't have a car with you and you don't need their internet.

Schönes Hotel im Centrum, trotzdem sehr ruhig.

Gegen 23 Uhr kommt ein Hotelangestellter ohne vorher zu fragen und ohne anzuklopfen mit Hauptschlüssel und einem weiblichen Gast ins Zimmer und will das Zimmer zeigen !!! Ich war total überrascht und perplex, dass ich es erst versäumt habe ihn raus zu werfen. Er meinte nur, er wusste nicht, dass das Zimmer belegt ist. Sowas ist ein Unding und nicht zu entschuldigen. Dadurch wurde der sonst gute Eindruck stark gemindert.

Das Hotel ist vielleicht doch eher als Pension zu bezeichnen. Bilder im Internet stammen teils wohl von einem Partnerhotel. Das Personal als auch das Frühstück sind recht positiv einzustufen; das Zimmer hingegen ist als sehr alt und renovierungsbedürftig zu beschreiben.

Sicherlich wegen einer Messe in Bad Salzuflen war das Parken ein echtes Problem. Gut war der kurze Fußweg in die Innenstadt (4min.) Das Badezimmer war extrem eng und eine Renovierung des Zimmers nötig. Die Dame an der Rezeption war freundlich und bemüht.

Die Buchung erfolgte anlässlich einer Messe, daher Hotel und Stadt nahezu ausgebucht. Dies hatte eine katastrophale Parkplatzsituation zur Folge. Das Zimmer war deutlich in die Jahre gekommen und das Bad war extrem klein. Unter "Antik" hatte ich mir etwas anderes vorgestellt. Frühstück war ok - jedoch würde etwas Obst und vielleicht was "Süßes" das Angebot komplettiere.
