To preface: this weekend was the same weekend when the horrible flooding happened. Though this part of town was not fully impacted, the rain was quite heavy. We woke up Saturday morning with water in the bedroom. I immediately notified the host. Then, as the day went by, more water came in, even under the floorboards. Plus, the roof was leaking a bit in the kitchen- water was slowing dripping out of the light fixture. I shared all of this with the host and provided photos and a video as well. However, they didn't respond to those messages... The weather is not something the VRBO host had control over. At first the host had just asked if we wanted them to come by to clean it. But then when more water came in, they didn't say anything else. We had to use a handful of the VRBO's bath towels along with our own towels just to soak up the water. That was clear in the photos we sent. It would have been nice to be checked up on and offered more towels to help clean or something along those lines...The house itself: I was not satisfied with the cleanliness. There were a lot of dead bugs; some under the living room mattresses that we had to swept up, some in the bathtub that we watered down. We could not walk around with our socks without collecting so much dirt. Also the bedsheets may need to be replaced as one of the sheets had what looked to be an old blood stain. Limo: communication can be better (I had to keep asking to confirm) but it was free and on time to my requests.

Fun Stay With Friends Despite A Few Surprises

We stayed at this property for a combined bachelor/bachelorette trip with a group of friends. The listing photos looked amazing, and we were especially excited after assigning rooms based on what we saw online. However, upon arrival, we noticed that the property differed in some ways from what was shown in the listing photos. The furniture in the living room, bedrooms (including the master), kitchen, and patio was noticeably different, which was a bit disappointing.Additionally, the hot tub was not functioning properly when we arrived—it was freezing cold. We had to contact the property manager to have someone come out and fix it, which thankfully was addressed.While the limo service was a convenient perk, the vehicles felt outdated, with a musty smell and poor ventilation. That said, the chauffeurs were very kind and accommodating, which we appreciated.Despite the discrepancies, we still had a great time. The group enjoyed the pool table, and the property itself offered a nice sense of privacy, making it ideal for this kind of event. Overall, while there were some issues, we made the most of our stay and had a memorable trip.

Wedding Party Retreat

The majority of our wedding party stayed here so we appreciated that we were allowed to host the rehearsal dinner onsite. The wide porches made for the perfect setup and the large island and ample countertop space were an added bonus. The limo service came in very handy, the driver was patient while rounding up the wedding party at the end of the night!
