The staff at the Fountain Athens was fantastic. The rooms are clean and nice. The breakfast was great. The elevator is tiny but the stairs are fine without luggage. Be prepared for loud partying in the front of the hotel until very late.

Unfortunately, the lovely hotel is across the street from a noisy bar that is open with loud music until after midnight. After the bar closes, patrons are wandering around talking loudly or yelling. Wear ear plugs, definitely helps.

Staff were extremely polite and helpful. Location is very central although could be noisy at night but never experienced anything too loud. Bed very comfortable and Netflix available on TV so easy to chill out after sightseeing all day.

We stayed at The Fountain Athens for 5nights at the beginning of April. We cannot fault anything! Communication prior to arrival was excellent and the hotel helped set us up with transfers on our arrival into Athens airport. The room itself was very quirky and modern and set over 2 levels and had everything we could possibly need, including complimentary bottled water each day. The whole hotel was very clean. The breakfasts were freshly made to order and something to look forward to every day. Every single member of staff at the front desk could not have been more friendly or helpful. Always happy to give advice and ideas. They helped set us up with transfers back to the airport and even let us keep on our room until our pick up time. The location of the hotel is excellent! So many bars and restaurants from right next door. In our room we heard no noise at all considering it was such a busy area. This is the only place we would stay if we return to Athens. Top rate service!

Excellent hotel, but two problems

The hotel is excellent, with a great location and a very, very kind and attentive staff. The rooms are clean and beautiful. However, there were two issues — the hot water ran out in the shower, which seems to be a recurring problem at the hotel, and the location is extremely noisy. Other than that, it's an excellent hotel.

Staff friendly and accommodating, everything was great except noise happening outside.We were there Fri,Sat,Sun.Seems like theres a congregation happening in the street ,loud talking,yelling,singing very loud music from sundown till the morning,non stop.They did provide ear plugs but really didnt help much.So were sleep deprived.Sunday night didnt seem as bad,still loud talking ,but think the fact that it rained, helped,and work or school day Monday,coz didnt see congregation on the street.

The warm reception with Eviduring the day and Crystal in the evening, was amazing. I learned how to count to 10 in Greek and also how to greet people in Greek. They gave me so much advice about places to visit and even how to get places and check subway (Metro) times.as well! The rooms are nice a spacious and the breakfast was nice and served with a smile! This is a gem with amazing people working here.
