I am not in the habit of reviewing hotels. When a hotel is as I expected it to be, I do not feel the need to review it, and when it is a little under my expectations, I don’t do it because I might be biased. I write reviews only if the hotel either was very bad, or it impressed me. Lis is in the second category. It is listed as a three star hotel, but offered services that we had only in five star hotels. The room was very clean, they offered slippers (we did not get them for instance at Doubletree by Hilton, even though we are diamond members), They even offered us a bottle of local wine. The breakfast was excellent, huge variety and freshly squeezed fruit and vegetable juice. And the hotel is located close to all tourist attractions, and also offered free onside parking. (We stayed at a hotel recommended by Michelin and it did not compare with the Lis.) I am recommending this hotel fullheartidly!

If you are EVER in Asti, Italy or if you’re close, STAY HERE. STAY!!! HERE!!!!The team that owns/runs/manages/serves/cleans/sweeps whatever! are the most hospitable and kind and accommodating and polite folks you will ever meet. Top hotel in Asti…

The owners and staff were incredibly nice, courteous and accommodating providing a friendly and welcoming service. The room was lovely and included a welcome of fruit and wine in our room. We need to return to Italy and will be staying there again on our journey there and back. Thank you for a lovely stay.

I made my reservation after reading the raving reviews of this family run hotel and my four day stay there exceeded all expectations! The owners speak fluent English and were hands on from morning until night to make certain every guest had an exceptional stay at their hotel. The breakfast was one of the best, my room was comfortable and quiet and its contemporary environment was warm and inviting. I am a senior who travels alone, so I was grateful that they helped me with my luggage, drove me to the train station as well as helped find my train. It is hard to find this kind of exceptional hospitality in a hotel of its size. I will be back next year! Highly recommended!

Friendly and comfortable.

This is a charming, small, family run hotel just on the edge of the historical centre of Asti. Rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast delicious.Staff are very friendly and helpful. We hired a car through the hotel and got an amazing deal. If you are on a driving holiday the hotel is in a great location as there is plenty of parking. It is also near the station. Asti is a delightful town and Hotel Lis is an excellent place to stay to explore the town and the surrounding beautiful countryside.
