Scenic Serenity in the heart of Apple Country
Spacious basement apartment with 9 foot ceilings, lots of natural light and a private entrance. One bedroom with a king size, poster bed. Queen size bed can be set up for additional guests in the living room. Fully equipped kitchen as well as a washer and dryer for your convenience. No need to bring anything just show up, relax and enjoy!
Less than four miles from interstate 26. Drive .08 of a mile (off the main road) through surrounding apple orchards on a well maintained gravel road to your peaceful, secluded destination. Relax on the porch and enjoy the gorgeous Mountain View’s.
If outdoor activities are appealing, take a short hike on nearby Bearwallow Mountain, a stroll down historic downtown Hendersonville (5 miles), explore the Chimney Rock/Lake Lure area (12 miles), visit the beautiful waterfalls and trails of DuPont State Forest (18 miles) or explore the history and beauty of the Biltmore Estate in Asheville (about 23 miles). We also have many local breweries/wineries in the area. Sierra Nevada Brewery, Saint Paul Mountain Vineyards (2.8 miles), Point Lookout Vineyards (6.2 miles), Dry Falls Brewery and Bold Rock Hard Cider to name a few.
DIRECTIONS Waze navigation app is the only GPS (that I know of) that will bring you to the house. Once on Stepp Acres Lane make sure to turn right immediately after passing the 3rd mobile home. There is a green sign for #216 and a dumpster on your left. There will be another green sign (#216) directing you up the hill towards a brick house. Turn left in front of the brick house. This is our driveway. Directly after passing the metal shed on your left you will see a graveled parking area. This is where you will park and walk through the yard to enter the downstairs living area.
Be advised you will be walking through the grass/yard to enter the apartment. There is always a possibly the grass could be wet due to rain, humidity or morning dew. We suggest bringing a pair of shoes that you don’t mind walking through wet grass in, just in case.
We will gladly assist renters carrying luggage to and from their cars. We will also allow you to pull your car up to the door to load and unload. We just ask that you check with us first before doing so. We have septic lines in the front yard.
The apartment is air-conditioned and features a kitchen and space to spread out with a separate bedroom. Guests can expect to find free WiFi and a Smart TV with a DVD player. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a coffee maker, and an ironing board.
