Joe is a superb host--very friendly and helpful without intruding and accommodating when we unexpectedly needed a key for the cottage.The place was clean and bright and had what we needed for lots of cooking and eating there. Some rentals are sterile, and this had color and decor that made it feel warm.Our favorite feature is the little seating area outside. We enjoyed it multiple times. The one downside: the bathroom situation. Other people have mentioned it, and we dealt with it, but I didn't like the lack of privacy.

The cottage was perfect for our needs with our little dogs and our toddler. Easy to get to the Aquarium and to Thomas Day Out in Felton. Fun time going to the beach and so nice to have sand toys for my kid! The 2 free aquarium passes were an awesome perk.Super friendly hosts and easy to communicate with. 5 stars all the way! Would stay again.

Cute and cozy place perfect for two people. It was close to Santa Cruz and met all of our expectations. It’s quietly located up a hill to where you can see the ocean from the kitchen window. Jim, the property manager was awesome to work with. Loved the way he kept the communication with us during our stay. I will definitely stay there again.

Lovely cottage with beautiful view. My only issue is that the couch/futon was badly stained so I laid a blanket over it. Other than that, the kitchen is very well equipped which I appreciated because I ate in a lot.

Lovely Experience!

I stayed here with my longtime best friend and her 10-year-old daughter over a three-day weekend. It was such a lovely experience. Not only was the place clean and cozy with a well-stocked, fully-equipped kitchen, our hosts were VERY kind and welcoming. The only “odd quirk” was the flimsy partition separating the main sleeping area from the bathroom in lieu of a door. We worked around this by agreeing to stay out of the bedroom whenever one of us needed a bathroom break, but it might have proven a bit awkward if we’d brought any guys along.

A beautiful haven

This is a beautiful property with gentle, kind hosts. It’s tranquil up the hill from all the hustle and bustle along the coast. We loved staying here on our bike ride from Canada to Mexico and the hosts let us put the bikes indoors overnight. We especially enjoyed the view, the fire pit and the beautiful garden. Just be aware the bathroom isn’t completely sealed from the bedroom but that wasn’t a problem for us as we stayed here as a family.

Cute little guest house

Had an awesome on night stay at this cute guest house spot. The location was nice and the house it was attached to was beautiful. The place was overall clean & tidy but the pullout couch did have some stains but we weren’t really put off by that. The bathroom situation was a bit tricky due to it being divided by a partial pull out wall so you didn’t have complete privacy in the bathroom but again it didn’t bother us at all but for some that may be a deterrent. Overall we had a great stay and would absolutely book here again! The owners were extremely communicative & let us use their park & aquarium passes.

Very clean and organized. Loved the supplies provided. Cups, dishes, coffee etc. The futon was super comfortable. Nice floorplan flow. Cozy. Close enough to Monterey Bay Aquarium and Santa Cruz Boardwalk. Thanks for the 2 guest passes to the Aquarium!

Very nice

This is a very nice property. Clean and extremely well equipped all you need to bring is your clothes you will want for nothing else. Beautiful home with a nice little guest house great location at a very fair price. I very highly recommend a stay here.

Adorable, light and cheery, comfy

I went for a few of days with a friend for my birthday, and adored this place. It was so light and airy and I loved the original art. The sofa was comfy and long enough that i didn’t need to open it up. I would enjoy going back to stay for a month to paint, read and relax.

Wonderful beach getaway

We loved the beach cottage near the beach. The owner was responsive to our questions, and we had great weather especially for January. The location was good as it was close to Santa Cruz and about a 40 minute drive to Monterey. We'll stay here again if we're in the area!

Cute guest house

We stayed two nights. The owner was very easy to work with and helpful. It was great that they had aquarium and state park passes for people to use. The beach is about 1.4 miles away, downhill on the way there, so we chose to drive. It's a nice, quiet neighborhood. The house was clean. Our biggest complaint was the bed. While I know that bed firmness/softness is personal, this mattress just seemed older and neither of us slept well on it. The sheets were also scratchy. With a more comfortable bed and softer sheets, it could have been a 5.
