The staff was amazing , I lost my wedding band and the cleaning lady found it and left it on the nightstand. They come by 3 times a day to make sure sure the room is cleaned and beds made up. The hotel is beautiful with great spots for pictures. The rooms are large but they are decorated in a colonial style that may not appeal to a younger generation.

The grounds of this hotel’s compound are absolutely phenomenal. The staff is available and ready for everything you might need before you know you need it. I would highly recommend booking a stay for multiple nights to enjoy the spa and the museum in between exploring the city of Antigua. Very pleased!

We loved our stay here! We got lost finding our room at first but didn’t mind because there was SO much to see! The hotel is within walking distance of many attractions. The hotel was clean, beds comfortable, and pool was great. We were even upgraded to a room with a view of the volcano!

Every corner tells a story, and every detail feels thoughtfully preserved and lovingly presented. The museum exhibits are fascinating and diverse, blending colonial art, archaeological treasures, and contemporary pieces in a way that feels natural and inspiring. I loved how the ruins themselves are part of the display — it makes the history feel alive rather than distant. The gardens are breathtaking, perfect for slowing down, reflecting, and simply soaking in the atmosphere. It’s one of those rare places where you don’t feel rushed; instead, you’re invited to wander and truly connect. What made my visit especially memorable was the sense of calm and wonder I felt throughout the entire experience. This hotel is amazing … and is, perhaps, our favorite hotel in the world. It is unique and historic and unforgettable. We love the fireplace in the room and the heated pool. We stay here every time we visit Antigua, and we love it more each time we stay.
