The female at the front desk was rude checking in. The room smelled like cigarettes, the sheets were dirty as were the towels. There was hair everywhere. And the handle on the window was about to fall off when trying to open the window. The parking area is very small and hardly nowhere to park, very tight.

Lovely property with nice comfortable rooms. Friendly staff at reception and at the bar. The hotel is a short walking distance from the train station which is serviced by trains that take you into central Amsterdam. The hotel is also a short bus ride (2/3 stops) or 1 train stop away from the Arenas which is very convenient if you are visiting for a concert. There aren’t many options for food in the immediate vicinity but there is a restaurant in the hotel and a couple of places near the arenas.

We were able to hear the pipes in the walls every time someone above us used the toilet (or water in general), and it was quite annoying, especially at night. Additionally, there were flies in our room despite the windows being closed, so not sure how they got in. We killed the ones we saw, but more kept appearing each day. Make sure that if you do stay here, request that your room be cleaned daily when the reception asks you during check-in. We said no to daily cleaning, but assumed that our room would still be cleaned upon request. There is a sign that you can put up to request room cleaning (which we did), but our room was not cleaned once during our stay. There is a communal gym in the hotel, but I can't speak to that since we did not use it. The hotel was also very far away from the city center (around 40 min via public transport). The only pro was that it was relatively close to a train stop. Overall, probably would not stay again.

This was a lovely property overall, but unfortunately our stay was disrupted by constant building work that began as early as 6am, which made it difficult to rest. Additionally, one of the rooms had no phone, and none of the rooms provided bottled water—a basic amenity that most hotels typically include.

Unfortunately the staff is not friendly. They just do their job and that's it. The girls at the reception seemed bored. The room was clean but quite impersonal. You say it's transit, you don't feel like staying there for several days. The bathroom towels were clean but very worn. They were leaking blood. It is located 5 minutes from the metro. The metro takes about 30 minutes to the center (there are about 10 stations). The good part is that they have parking and for only 15 euros per day you can leave your car there and take the metro. What I liked about the metro is that you can pay with your phone and you don't have to buy a ticket. I paid 1.35 euros for one ride.

Well positioned for Ziggodome (15 minute walk) - great transport links. Check in staff very friendly. BUT - Shower in room threw water alll over bathroom floor (Room 112) - Made reception aware but nothing was done. Asked for additional towels as all ours used soaking up water which was everywhere - was told they would be delivered - they weren't. Room not cleaned first night - despite being set to clean up. Disappointing - hotel looks lovely, but poor choice if shower doesn't drain or work properly

Poor hotel, huge cleanliness issues!

The hotel is very dated. Walls are worn and marked. The bed had stains and hairs in. I felt very uncomfortable. Raised the issue with the front desk, they took pictures of the pictures I provided. Offered another room on ground floor, next to where the smokers congregate… however they get complaints about this. I opted for a change in bedding. When I returned to the room, no change in bedding. Incredibly poor quality hotel on all fronts.
