Great base for Impro Amsterdam

A really excellent base to visit the Impro festival, just a short bus ride from all the venues and the same to get back into the centre of town. I had a lovely big room overlooking the city. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was also very quiet which led to a very peaceful stay.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The place is very clean and comfortable, and the breakfast staff were exceptionally kind and attentive. The free shuttle service is the deal breaker, if you do not want to be in the middle of it all then this hotel is perfectly located, a 5 minute shuttle ride to the free ferry getting you to central station in 10 minutes.

False Advertisements All Around

Don’t book this hotel if youre going to rely on the shuttle service. They advertised on their website that the shuttle picks up/drops off at Central Station and runs continuously. Upon arrival, we were told we had to take the ferry across the river and also call to request the driver. The driver took over 15 minutes usually to come, even though the hotel is a 6 minute drive away from the pick up point. This slowness caused us to miss our train to Germany on our last day in Amsterdam. The hotel also advertises 24/7 room service and this is also false. When we attempted to order room service, we were told the kitchen was closed. The rooms were comfortable but we will not stay here again due to the false advertisement.
