The Iowa House is beautiful! However we had to listen to music (found out it was on all night from the lobby), so very little sleep. We had a staff member enter our room at 10:40 without knocking. And then again at 11:01, to see if we were leaving. Breakfast was ok. Lady that works at reception was friendly.

I love staying at the Iowa House when I visit my son at Iowa State. It is very close to campus, definitely within walking distance. The rooms are always clean and cool. The dining room always has something to eat at all hours. Breakfast in the mornings are always good. I even got a text asking if I would be eating breakfast. The staff are great and very accommodating. When I go to Ames, this is the first place I look to stay.

This place is quaint and cozy. Our room was clean, well-appointed, and featured lovely details that made you feel like you were in a home. The breakfast was fantastic (egg bake, toast, fresh fruits, etc) and the dining area was adorable. Such a wonderful gem right on campus. Can't wait to stay again!
