We were disappointed with our recent stay at Skypine Lodge. While the booking process was smooth, the condition of the property did not meet expectations—especially considering the high cleaning fee charged for just a two-day stay. When we arrived, we noticed the property lacked basic cleanliness and upkeep. We struggled to get enough towels for our group, and after contacting the host, we were advised to wash and reuse the existing ones, with no further support. The patio floor was heavily soiled and appeared not to have been cleaned or power washed in quite some time. There were spider webs on the deck door and noticeable dust on several surfaces, including kitchen lights, the ice bucket lid, and dining furniture.Outdoor seating cushions were pulled from a bin and were damp and stained with green residue. The outdoor dining table was in poor condition, showing signs of wear and in need of replacement or repainting. One concerning issue was the hanging egg swing, which collapsed while in use, resulting in a minor injury to one of our guests. We had to repair it ourselves.Additional issues included dusty and unmaintained kids’ toys (like the telescope and bins), kitchen utensils with peeling non-stick coating, dull knives, and a non-functional mirror light in one of the bedrooms.Overall, while the location and potential of the lodge are appreciated, the lack of cleanliness, safety, and basic maintenance significantly impacted our experience. With proper attention and
