"In short, if you are planning on a few days, a week, or even longer in Hana Town, you are the kind of person who will love this bungalow.Hana Ocean Palms Bungalow is a place to settle in for a while when exploring the southeast side of Maui. The grounds have a very tropical forest atmosphere. The birds and mongoose scurrying in and out of the banana plants, Hawaiian Ginger everywhere, other types of palms with ferns and orchids high in the air, just a very comfortable place to sit and take it all in after a long day of hiking the Pipiwai Trail, ʻOheʻo Gulch (Seven Sacred Pools) and plenty of sightseeing. Speaking of sightseeing, Waioka Pond (the infamous Venus Pool) is just a fifteen-minute walk.The inside is rustic and comfortable. The kitchen is small but has everything you might need. The bedrooms and beds are very nice, but the bed out on the enclosed front porch was amazing! Albert, the host, is great. If you have the chance to meet him, you will be better off for it. "Listing was accurate, the place was clean and in a good location. Host warns you about it being in a tropical rainforest with bugs and they are not lying! Be prepared to see bugs. But be smart and don't leave food out or trash in the unit. Also check the fridge, I found a little cricket hanging out in the door shelf :). The place was nice and comfortable and I appreciated having access to beach chairs, umbrellas, and beach towels. Thanks for that. The mattresses on both inside beds are very soft so I didn't find them very comfortable. I would have liked a firmer mattress option to get better sleep. "
