Luna Island Hotel4.0 out of 5.0

This place is carefully designed to rip you off. It looks great on pictures with its pool by the sea and private beach, but... Even you are staying at one of the most live islands in Europe, this location is isolated from everything, but not in a good way. Accommodation price is about double priced compared to other similar hotels in Croatia, as well as the drinks. 0.33 liter of cheap Croatian beer cost 4 GBP. Exactly the same as pint of Guinness in Kensington high hotel in London?! Hey, Croatia is famous of cheap beer! It should be less then 2 GBP, and it is everywhere else - if you can go there. There are no transfers to literally anywhere from here. You better have a car. Rooms are small and awfully designed. Sea view room (extra priced) is L shaped, so you have a feeling there are no windows at all! You have to go around the corner to find one. (Checkout the room pictures) Not to mention, air conditioning doesn't really work. There is a nice choice of meals for dinner, but neither being tasty. I had to leave two dishes immediately upon trying. Third one was at best eatable. Staff quality ranges from waiters you are afraid to talk to, to the receptionist with big smile who checked us in, in 15 seconds. Everything here is designed to bring you here, keep you here and make you pay insane prices for less than average service. I hope owner will read this review and do something about it, but sincerely doubt it. Place is crowded?!
Really beautiful location for a relaxing break. Rooms are nice and spacious with nice balcony overlooking the sea. Lovely spot by the sea and good pool area. However, what we didn't expect was buffet food - no other choice unfortunately. There was a restaurant nearby but was closed as out of season - may?? Staff were friendly and helpful but spread so thinly about - bar staff expected to flit between the lounge bar and the poolside bar! I had my 60th birthday here and the staff did put on a cooked meal especially which was really nice
I love it because of the people who are working here, amazing stuff who always have time to help you and chat with you about things you have to see at this islad. It is far enough from the city noise, and that is just what we were loking for. Service is quick and professional no matter how many people are they serving! Aslo hotel is very clean which is most important.
A really nice hotel with plenty things to do with weather like now :-( Swimming pool inside is lovely and clean. From the last time I had spent here (may) food is changed on better. Staff is correct and polite as usual . Thanks guys for everything
I am changing my review from 5 (Excellent) in the year 2013 when I have stayed in hotel, to 3 (Average) in year 2016. There was so cold food in self-service hotel restaurant. The most part of the hotel staff was changed and they are not professional. However, the hotel beach is very nice and calm.
I spent 7 days with my girlfriend in this hotel. It was perfect!!! Employes are kind and helpfull, the restorant has delicious food! The swimming pool is large and clean. The rooms were clean and big!
3 days here with my boyfriend feels like haven, staff is very nice and food is extremely good. Sea view is spectacular from the beach and from our room and if you have oportunity vist hotel for sure. Couples will enjoy rooms on last floor with private terace and bottle of taittinger champagne.
Beautifull hotel located in the most enjoying island in Adriatic. All day wine and dine experience with top service and romantic sea view from almost all of the hotel. Girlfriend and me fully enjoying all the time and sine it is our first visit we are suprised with this hotel, we are coming next year again because you have to experience this. Big plus above all is wi-fi because this is the fastest I have ever seen. Keep it this way.
Delicious domestic food, nice pool, cocktail bar, very fast WiFi, great service, beach with crystal clear water and most amazing sunset views! What else do you need! It is good for business & pleasure. Definitely a must see!
The day we got there was the best. Room was pretty big, bathroom also, and the view from the room was gorgeous (sea view). The pool also looks great (with music from noon till night), and there are plenty of spots where you can sunbathe or go for a swim in the sea - you should consider however buying those special shoes, it's pretty rocky and you can get stung by sea hedgehogs. Ow, and the internet was one of the fastest I've ever seen (and I do travel a lot). And that's about it with the pros. Now the cons... First in first, it wasn't as clean as I've expected for a four star hotel. Stains on the carpet, dust here and there, daily cleaning done in a hurry, sheets were never changed during our stay (and that's six nights). As for the restaurant, well, the breakfast is extremely limited. We had the same thing every morning, not much to choose from. Coffee and juice (only one juice option) tasted really cheap. Thank god we haven't bought the "all inclusive" package - as I've understood from other reviewers, the other meals weren't far more better. Pool cocktail bar offered way too expensive drinks - especially the cocktails (which weren't that amazing anyway). And last but not the least, maintenance was poorly done - you could see cracks in the walls here and there (even our room had some)
