First off, as the name of the place suggests, this is not a hotel and as such shouldn’t be listed on Orbitz and other websites as such. The contact person for the place was very nice and the place was clean, but it was very inconvenient. It’s a tiny room with two extremely narrow single beds (that cannot be pushed together). It has an even tinier bathroom. When you are in the bathroom, you can barely close the door because your body gets in the way and there’s nowhere to move. Only a very thin person could fit in the shower and even then can barely turn around without accidentally shifting the faucet. Furthermore, the drainage is slow so you end up with water overflowing. There is also somewhat of a foul smell from the bathroom in the evening. In addition, because it’s not a hotel, you don’t get the typical amenities one gets at hotels, such as shampoo and soup. There is a liquid soup dispenser such as the ones in public bathrooms. The location is close to the main areas of interest in the old city but also close to a bell tower that wakes you up every morning at 7:00 am. At night it was hard to sleep because the air conditioner is noisy. I mentioned this to the owners and they tried to fix it, but the noise returned after a few hours. I feel bad that I can’t offer a better review because the people running the place were very nice, but it was truly inconvenient and I cannot recommend it.

We would like to inform you that this is not a hotel at first place since the name is: Apartments Donat, also we would like to inform you that you could see the size of the apartment before even making reservation. Actually apartment is perfect size per 2 persons (as all of our reviews says). Furhtermore, we have shampoo at the reception and we are giving it for FREE to our guests but you did not ask for it and soap we do have in apartment. Even tho we are not a hotel (as you could see also in the different prices-hotels are having tripple higher prices 270€ per night and you payed 80€): 1.we gave you LATE check in for FREE, 2.we arranged you FREE parking in the Center of Zadar (Old town) all 4 days of your stay with us, 3.we cleaned your car for FREE, 4.we were keeping your lugagge after check out for free, 5.take your luggage up and down for FREE,. That is all our service, even if we are not hotel. So next time maybe you should book a hotel with much higher price and maybe you will get the service and room that will be conveniente for you ) Since you were staying in the Old town (historical and most beautiful part of Zadar) to hear the church bells is a normal thing since here is over than 15 churches from 9th century and more. Regarding air condition- we had over 300 guest and non of them ever mentioned that is noisy and we also did not notice that. Regarding bed size- we have normal size beds that CAN be put together, you just needed to request it. We are very sorry that you did not feel ok, but we are giving our best for all of our guests and really take care that we are 24/7 avaliable for our guests for all of their requests.
