Relaxing & Restorative

Rush Creek is a relaxing and restorative place to return to after a day of adventuring. The rooms are well designed, the beds are incredibly comfortable, and the service is attentive and helpful. It's all clean and perfectly maintained, and the wooded setting is lovely and quiet. I enjoyed relaxing by the fire pits and meeting other lodgers, and loved my much-needed massage and my spa pool soak. Yes, it's a drive into the Valley, but so worth it!

Great location for Yosemite visit

Great location to stay when visiting Yosemite. Close to West gate. Property was very well kept with lots of amenities. Room and Dining areas were nice if not a bit spartan in feel and appearance. Surrounding area is beautiful. All the staff were engaging and friendly. Special mention on the large volume Ice makers. With everyone filling coolers for park visits and they never ran out of ice!!

We enjoyed our stay and its proximity to Yosemite. We spent three nights in a two bedroom suite. The twin bedroom had a space air conditioner that did not work well, was loud, and had a bright light. We were told this was normal. New expected more for such an expensive stay. The restaurant was fine but is the only place within half an hour to eat. A decent stay overall but not perfect.

Need to listen.

While the best accommodation in the area, they need to listen to needs of the customer. After talking to them multiple times about needing a room for physically disabled person they put us in a normal room. This is very important and ignored even with discussion weeks before arriving.

Relatively new large modern facility just outside Yosemite Park entrance. Great space for reading and meeting. Large restaurant and a good store for food and gifts. Fantastic large pool and jacuzzis. They provide luggage carts but no assistance. And they don’t do wake up calls. They just say to use the Alexa device in the room. Both of these seemed odd given it is “fully priced.”

My family and I absolutely loved our two night stay here. Our check in was fast and easy. The lobby is lovely and has a cute, well-stocked market. Our room was a good size, the beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was nice with a large shower. I was pleased to find a laundry room to clean our dirty hiking clothes. We were so pleasantly surprised to find that the location was minutes from the park entrance. We all had a blast in the pool and hot tub. We ate dinner both nights and the food was delicious. The game room was stocked with lots of fun games for the kids and they loved the free s’mores kits. The recreation desk had excellent recommendations on where to hike. The property is beautiful and peaceful. I truly can’t recommend it more. I can’t wait to return someday.

Know Before You Go

The outdoor environment is nice and relaxing. The game room, pool and playground areas are great for children. While the menu sounds upscale the food is okay. My sons, ages 6 and 8 were with us. We received 3 complaint touchpoints from the front desk, 10:04pm, 10:12pm and 7am. The first one may have been valid, my children were still awake and excited about the pullout sofa, they weren't yelling but the usual voices of an excited child. We put them to bed at once, so when we got the two additional complaints we were very upset. I walked outside of other rooms and could hear children talking, not yelling, so why were we singled out, perhaps a mistake. Either way it sullied our desire to return any time soon. The lodge was full of children with the same ages, not sure if others experienced this. I would suggest that the lodge put specific notices in the rooms about quiet hours. It should be noted, we travel often and have never received a complaint, we're a thoughtful family.

Rush Creek is a wonderful property - close to Yosemite's entrance, family friendly, activities on property (stargazing was wonderful, free smores every night were a hit, family sauna was a great concept), etc. Only downside is housekeeping/service were a bit slow given it was busy time of the year but totally understand.
