We really loved the power shower and the bed was very comfortable but the room we had was next to a door that was meant to be fire exit only but was used all night which made it hard to sleep as it banged very loudly. We also weren’t overly impressed with the room service offering, we ordered the same thing (just sandwiches) on different nights and the second time we’re told we couldn’t have something removed and then when it came it was completely a different standard to the first one (different bread/layout/size) we also had to wait for room service to restart although it’s meant to be 24/7 and the member of staff was quite abrupt

Fab hotel - well worth the money

Great hotel and convenient location. Very disappointed about the lack of acknowledgment from the hotel with regards to our special celebration at hotel and even though we sent a message to the hotel directly regarding of silver wedding anniversary. Very average experience. Disappointed to have found out that access to the spa was 15 min walk from the hotel which does not make it appealing at all. Breakfast options were very poor and quality of food was of a very low standard.

Really loved this hotel. Very unique and quirky inside. Also, the staff couldn’t have been anymore helpful (especially Nadia & Caitlin) had a few teeny issues but were resolved with a smile and with excellent customer service. Just be aware there is a damage deposit which is taken at check in and like every hotel the noise insulation isn’t good, so be kind to your neighbours! Had one of the court yard rooms which was spacious and the bed was comfy. Hotel is Located about 10 min walk from the train station. The stroll into the city from the hotel is about 20 mins. Hotel room comes with tea/coffee facilities and things like shampoo/body wash. Would stay again

Nice rooms in an artdeco style, very clean. A little disappointing to just have nescafe instant coffee sachet and not even decent coffee bags in this standard of hotel. Also £2.50 for the small bottles of water in the room seemed a little steep. Location is a 15 minute walk into the center and close to the racecourse so ideal for many visitors. Car park was full so had to pay £18 for parking in another car park. Breakfast was nice and not bad value if pre booked although the coffee machine stopped working. Stay were all friendly and helpful.

The hotel itself is impressive. The room not so much. A very small room with no space or fold-out rack to put my suitcase. The little natural light from the small window was partially obscured by the headboard of the bed. The headboard wasn't attached to the bed and rolled away from the wall when I tried sitting up in bed to watch TV. There was no toilet brush in the bathroom. Nonetheless the bed was comfortable, the breakfast was delicious and the staff charming. Its the little details that let the place down.
