When visit Yogyakarta, we came to your restaurant to have a late lunch. The local menu are recommendation from your staff. I forgot what it was (If am not wrong, it was oxtail rica and some signature food made from rice) but the food is a yumm! Happier because we sat outside so it feels like all the afternoon landscape is ours. The hotel is classic, we must say. Even I don't stay there, the room with direct access to exclusive pool just quite tempting to be stayed someday.
Overall the hotel can use several upgrades. The room furniture is old and the shower too. The staff was amazing especially the ones working in the lounge area. Would recommend for a short 1-2 night stay only.
At first, I booked the deluxe room with garden view for two nights. During check-in process, the staff offered to upgrade my room to Presidential suite. Without a doubt, that was a quite compliment. The check in process was flawless. The hotel serves welcome drink and cookies at the reception. The room was clean and super neat. I like the interior decoration, IMHO it is better than Hyatt Yogya's. All staffs I met were very helpful and nice. The breakfast menu was superb from Indonesian taste to Indian and western selections. The view was amazing, you can see the mountain if your room locates on the 4th or 5th floor. The atmosphere was quiet and calming. Tried the indoor pool and jacuzzi, clean and serene. You can book a complimentary shuttle to Malioboro and the airport, very convenience. All in all, I spent a day just in the hotel and enjoyed the surrounding.
We were about 8 persons and I book 5 rooms at this hotel, I called prior to our arrival to request all rooms to be near each other since I will travel with my entire family and spouse and they were very helpful, thank you for that. arrived late at 6 pm and got a very nice welcome drinks upon check-in which was a plus, we were super tired at that time. but the tiredness seems forgotten since the hotel was amazingly stunning, we headed directly to the heated pool and we had an evening swim at that time, gorgeous hotel and design. This hotel is unique since normally all hotel has their lobby at the ground floor, this hotel has it in the top floor while the rooms are under it, very unique. overall the summary of our family stay was great, all rooms were great with balcony and the breakfast also delicious, despite of all rush due to the high occupancy maybe. Thank you Sheraton Mustika team for being so great to my family, cheers
Good hotel quite close to Yogyakarta airport. It is a bit dated and could use a soft refurb - which i believe is happening in 2018. Otherwise it's grand foyer, exceptional grounds, tennis court and swimming pools are excellent. Service is great, buffet breakfast has an extensive range of options to suit all tastes. Bar area i think usually quiet, but they have live music and reasonable international standard drink prices. Shops in the foyer are as usual, international prices, but very handy when you first arrive. Spa facility is huge, excellent service and great prices. They offer everything you could imagine and some things you couldnt!! (about A$25 for 1 hour massage - MAKE THE TIME TO DO THIS)!! 2 things detracted from this hotel; it's a bit far from town, so just allow enough time in the traffic to get where you are going! There is a Mosque in the area and you get a 4am wake up call - like it or not.
Close to airport, Free airport shuttle, Nice garden and volcano views from balcony, unique swimming pool design, great food in restaurants. We were upgraded to presidential suite which had nice views Try to get the room on upper floors. We found bugs and a mouse (yes literally) on first floor then moved to higher level which had amazing room and views. We also hired a can to move around tourist destinations in Yogyakarta.
Compared to the other brand new hotels in Yogyakarta, Sheraton really needs an upgrade. However, it still provides us with sense of luxury and some excellent services. It is located very close with Adisucipto Airport, only 5 minutes by car and you can easily find this hotel. It has a great entrance which will give you an awe moment before entering its spacious lobby. Due to some certain things, I checked in at around 3 in the morning. Yet, the staff was still provided me with a great service and I can still feel a five-star service from them. I was staying on the 4th floor, it was a spacious room with a pool view. Really love the view. No complaints on this. However, the bathroom was need some improvements. It felt dull and old. The breakfast was very nice and have a various options of food, local, western, and Indian. What I really like the most was they have fresh juice station. Really love it. The food itself was nice, of course there are certain menus that taste bland, but it was still okay. I also noted that they also provide a scheduled free shuttle to the airport and Beringharjo market. Really appreciate this service which provides a very convenient way to enjoy Yogyakarta. Overall despite there are rooms for improvement, I really enjoyed my stays in Sheraton. Definitely will consider to stay in Sheraton for my next visit. Keep up the good work.
If your looking for a relaxing place close to the airport, this maybe for you. The checkin was quite smooth. All conducted in quite a grand entrance typical of Central Java... Rooms need a digital facelift to bring them into 2017.. try new Large TVs and power outlets next to the bed. The hotel grounds are nice, relaxing and a good pool. The big let down is the food. You always want to start the day with a great breakfast. This hotel is promoting its 5star status but the breakfast was very poor - quality of food was poor, selection and service... very disappointing. I wont stay here again given there are so many other better choices in town, at a better rate - unless of course you improve.
The room cleaness is not good. I found some dead bugs inside my room. And also the room is smelly with bugs spray (like Baygon). Internet connection very bad in my room. Only 1 bar and always lost signal in a few minutes connection. It makes me desperate because it's difficult to connect the internet. For the breakfast is good. The service from all staff also good.
The hotel locates at a hillside, about 40 minutes away from airport. As a platinum member of SPG, I was not upgraded to suite even the hotel is half empty. The first room was volcano view, facing the garden, which is great. But there was a concert in the very evening and the window is not able to keep the room silence. After moved to another side, which is called garden view, I could have some sleep until the music from mosque wakes me up at 5am. If you call is a resort, silence is an essential part of the construction. But it seems not applied here. The room look old, somewhat worn out, and small. But for a category 1 hotel, I shouldn’t expect more. Until I entered the executive lounge, I felt totally disappointed. The food and drink are very limited, so I have to order the dinner to fit my stomach. But I found the food is not tasty neither., especially the pickled cucumber in the burger ate like wood. And I have to pay for this rubbish. Fortunately, I had to stay in this hotel for just one night. If you are planning your trip to Borobudur, try some places else.
