I stayed there last November, has a great time. Although it was not a new hotel, I still got upgraded to a suite, no complaints. After all, it is a nice hotle, and the pool was big and great. However, I think the staffs were super nice. Frankly, I kind forgot all the great staffs there, but I still remember a few, Ffor example, front desk/main restaurant staffs Nais, Kindasari and Bagus were just very very friendly and welcoming.

Old building, old room, but still well mainatinance. Location quite far from city centre, but very near from airport. They has free shuttle to Malioboro street, running every 3-4 hours everyday. They also has free shuttle to the airport. Pool and garden area very nice. Staff performance very nice. Service with heart and always fully with smile. Breakfast menu was good, they offer wide variety of foods from local cuisine, indian-western, vegetarian. Free wifi with strong connection.. Overall, good hotel in Jogja.. and recommended.

The hotel was outstanding but a little soul-less with so few people around. That might seem strange as the service was excellent.... even outstanding , but the restaurants were quiet. Pool is brilliant for lounging around and a good size. The staff do deserve a special mention as they did absolutely everything to make the stay a great experience. Worth up grading to club room as there aren’t places within walking distance for “snacks” etc. Really close to the airport and that makes a difference with the traffic !! Building itself was very interesting - a photogenic change from most of the anonymous five stars.

We really enjoyed our a day stay here,the restaurant for breakfast, Indian Restaurant is awesome. The spa is a must to visit and the staff are very friendly. Spa services wonderful and you spoil yourself in spa. Building may be some what bit outdated, hope they will fix it.

We booked for lagoon access room. It's worth it. You can swim straight from your room. Or if you think the lagoon is not big enough, you can just walk to the pool. The depth of lagoon goon swimming pool is 1.20 m. The room itself is quite comfortable. It's equipped with complete toiletries, hairdryer, safety box, bathrobes, slippers, and lots of compartment to save your belongings. Breakfast is tasty and varied from western to eastern. They even serve Indian food.

Yes, the structure is showing its age. But, that sort of thing doesn't bother us. We stayed here for five nights and experienced a great deal of what the hotel offers. Originally, we were scheduled to stay four nights, but liked the environment so much that we did back flips in order to stay another night. What did we like: A) The breakfast was quite good. There's probably too much offerings scattered throughout a huge dining area. It's impossible to do all the dishes well, so some are lacking. Be picky what you eat and you'll find some yummy treats. B) Many staff members are super friendly, particularly the breakfast crew and the room cleaning crew. We want to give an extra shot out for Ody, who helped us in our time of need without us even asking. He was proactive, kind and polite. For us, he was the right combination of interested in us as guests and real/genuine. He's a model -- as far as we are concerned. Another stellar person is the chef for Bistro who served as the General Manager during our stay. He was warm and professional, helping to solve a problem that we had encountered early in our visit. He has great conflict resolution skills! c) The grounds were so, so beautiful. The landscape crew is almost invisible, yet manage to keep much of the area looking like paradise. d) The free shuttle to and from the airport worked like a charm! Bravo and thank you for offering the service. e) The open air architecture of the building is amazing. Usually, I feel like there isn't enough air in U.S. hotels, but here, the rain, the breeze, the sounds of nature are able to be part (to a limited extent) the hotel environment. I could have sat on our balcony for the rest of our time there. f) The hotel offers many special deals. We took advantage of a lunch deal at the Bistro which was quite nice. Likewise, we had coffee drinks at the bar/lounge, which also serves as their business center. The snacks they provided were excellent! Also, the computers in the business center (and the printer) operated well. g) We used and enjoyed the gym and the outdoor poor. Nice! h) We loved our room! Warts and all. The staff went the extra mile to respect our privacy. In this way, they were well trained. What could be improved: a) The cakes in the bake shop sit there, especially in low season, getting stale. We had a couple -- and were disappointed. My suggestion: make less of them this time of year, and maybe don't cut them until a guest wants a piece? b) The vegetarian options made at the Bistro were much of the time disappointing. My advice is to find a cook who is a vegetarian and let them create the dishes. c) Check out was a wee bit messy. We all make mistakes, but I left a bit apprehensive about what our credit card statement would look like upon our return. I carefully checked the list of expenses the night before dutifully in an attempt to make check out smooth, but it was still a bit bumpy. In general, perhaps training should be more supervised than it sometimes is? (I don't know -- I'm just guessing.) d) We paid premium prices for two tours, but also were asked to pay parking at all temple sites. Now, these were minor expenses, but given the expense of the tours, I think the hotel could have paid for the parking at the main temples. It just got to be a pain to dip into my money wallet when I just wanted to enjoy myself. e) The hot water in our room was a bit touchy. With just a slight tap of the nob, the temperature went from warm to really hot, which risks burning a guest. Maybe check that out? In spite of these hiccups (and others I don't mention), this was my favorite hotel stay that I can remember in years. We're a fairly "high maintenance" duo, so I want to say that we had a lot of questions and a lot of problems to figure out, and the staff mostly was very patient and understanding (with a couple of exceptions). You all at Sheraton Mustika Yogyakarta should be proud of your work. I wish you all the very best and hope to return someday.

If you were here in 1996, no doubt this place was pretty awesome. Sadly it’s 2018. The hotel room was clean and adequate for a short business-trip visit, but the place is hardly the shining star that it appears to be on the website. Even the front-entrance escalator is broken and now covered with potted plants, which means folks have to drag their luggage up a flight of stairs immediately upon arrival. Why not get this fixed? Anyway, the dead escalator thing pretty much sums it all up for me. Again, I am simply shocked by people who leave five-star ratings for places like this. If you’re seeking medium-tier and good proximity to the airport, then you’ll be OK here. Just don’t expect anything more than that.

Begin with I dont know about the shuttle from airport to hotel so I took the cab, was too expensive because its very closed to airport. When arrived at Adisutjipto, I tried to call but noone answering. Then I dont mind about that ridiculous cab because this is the best hotel in Yogyakarta so far! When checked in Ms. Nais was very nice, she is very friendly and helpful. I got upgraded to the junior suite, best room ever! Got private pool and my neighbors didnt seem to use it so it feels like my very own pool haha. The pool is too magnetic to be true! When you get in, hard to get out. You want to stay all day in the pool because its like river. The surroundings, the water is cool enough just like comes from mountain, the trees, I feel like swimming in a river of a jungle somewhere. Thank you Mr. Robbie the GM for the welcome fruit! I dont know if its just me but the conditioner there is very good. After swimming I dont get any problem with tangled hair. Best hotel so far and I will come back for sure! Smooth check in process too. Whole team of SHERATON MUSTIKA shown a high level of service in hospitality Industry. I have no doubt of service.

I stayed here for a weekend with a friend during the rainy season (January). I paid for the stay in Starwood points, which was a very good overall deal. As an SPG Platinum member, I was offered a suite upgrade by the very attentive staff but wed had to decline as we needed twin beds. We got a nice room with private pool access on the ground floor, slept nice on the comfortable beds. Overall you can see that the interior of both the rooms and the facilities is a bit dated (some 10-15 years old at least)...but that didn't spoil our trip, because overall service and value were still great. There's a shuttle to and from the airport, as well to and from the city. Location is a big plus for me because it was outside the bustle and hustle of Jogja city, and every time we arrived it felt like going into a quiet jungle resort. Don't look much further, just book and it's all good...
