Room was full of cockroaches

The staff is courteous, but the hotel is otherwise yucky... It feels grimy, looks dank, smells musty. The hallways are dark, cramped and dirty... There's unique odors that waft around the lobby and public areas. The carpeting in the hallways and stairwells was disgusting -- full of stains of seemingly various forms. The main stairway had a large patch of mud on one of the steps for the entirety of our two-night stay... The bathroom for our double room had one washcloth, one handtowel and one small bar of soap. No shampoo. No ventilation fan, no bathmat to place on tremendously slippery floor. Also no hot water for my shower/shave at 9 a.m. No coffee in room. No iron/board -- I requested one at front desk, was told to Bring it back quickly, it is our only one. Had to pay for ice out of the hallway ice machine. Internet access in room nearly non-existent. Didn't work more than it did work. Dead batteries in TV remote, front desk had no replacement batteries. Overall, it's a horrible hotel.

A good value for the price. Rooms clean and pool very nice. Interesting they do not supply coffee for the coffee maker! Would stay there again.

The hotel is located off a major road that leads into downtown and is conveniently between the airport and downtown. The water park is awesome, especially for young kids! However, the hotel itself is just okay. You get what you pay for here. Perfect for someone looking for just a room to sleep in and a nice water park.

We had an overall great stay at the Winnipeg Thriftlodge. The thing that makes this place so good and stand out from other penny pinching hotels is the staff. They worked with us in some difficulties we were having with the room capacity which was really really nice. Clean room, good staff, and a great location about 5 minutes from downtown. Oh, and the pool is sweet!

Our stay at this hotel was great. the staff is very friendly. location was very convenient for us.
