I had wanted a 2 queen room but was not available for 3 nites so settled for 1 king - big mistake. Handicapped room had queen not king bed, jacuzzi tub took up literally 1/3 of the room (how realistic is that), phone did not work (3 trips to the desk to exchange phone consoles - "maybe its just the wiring in the room". instructions in the room do not clearly tell you how to turn on the tv (only work if the maids have turned off the tv properly in the first place!). After breakfast first morning asked about getting the phone fixed - no message left for day staff so they were totally unaware of any problems - the day receptionist confirms with me that the "king" bed is only a queen - where did I get the idea that it was a king sized bed? She offered to move a few people around and get me a room with 2 queen as originally requested. We moved to a 2 queen room - first time we flushed the toilet it broke! Front desk girl had to come and attempt to flush it herself to confirm it was actually not working before she could call someone in to fix it - does management not trust what the customer says? When the room was "cleaned" each day we noticed that crumbs on the floor magically stayed in place - I guess when you stay more than 1 night there is no need to vacuum the carpet or properly make the beds up (the sheets were not even tucked in under the mattress but left hanging down the side of the bed. On top of all of this the pools pump was broken and we were unable to go swimming in the middle of a heatwave! We were not told this upon check-in and only when I inquired about separate towels for the pool area was I informed of this problem. Thank goodness that the family members we had come to Windsor to visit gave this week-end a positive spin - we definitely would not stay here again unless the owners do some major upgrading.
Just wanted to comment on my frequent stays at Windsor Ramada. I am very impressed with the front counter staff, they are always accommodating when staying at this hotel. A special thanks to Hala from housekeeping for having a clean room ready when I arrive in the morning twice weekly. She is always cheerful and tries to be quiet while doing her duties in the hotel while I am sleeping during the day. Thanks for all you do! Allon
Good hotel for a short stay. Good breakfast. Comfortable beds. Convenient location on main road near restaurants and shops. Neighborhood safe enough to walk alone in evening through nearby residential area and along major roadway. Did not use pool which looked murky from ducks swimming in it. Ridiculous landscaping with washed rocks piled at least 1 foot high on flower/shrub beds; scraped the car door once when opening while parked in end stall.
Nice stafff, rundown motel. Our room was not nice, the bathroom was dirty, there was mold in the tap in the shower, the wallpaper was ripped off in places. There was an overall smell of cat pee in the room. We did get free WiFi and cable tv. Don't expect much in the way of amenities and your coffee maker is the little pour through single cup so no making tea or boiling water. The free continental breakfast is a choice of waffle maker, bagel, cold cereal 2 choices, old bruised apples, oranges, one type of yogurt and a few little pastries.
Awful experience from beginning to end. The rooms are small, the carpet is old and smells and the bathroom was dirty. Our room was not cleaned after the first night and we did not complain but asked for clean towels. We were told to give them our old dirty towels and they would bring us clean towels. We gave them the dirty towels but never received clean towels back. The next day they made the beds but did not vacuum or clean the bathroom and took our last two towels and did not provide us with any clean towels. I went to the front desk and asked for towels and was told there are no towels left in the hotel. I made a fuss and asked to speak to a manager and of course there was no manager on site. I was told she is at her other job. Poor customer service, rooms are dirty and it smells terrible. Would not eat breakfast here and will never return. It says no pets but there are pets roaming the halls
My boyfriend and I have gone to the Ramada multiple times. Great experience everytime. Always last minute bookings available and even walk ins. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Rarely full and lots of parking
Stayed overnight for a funeral/wake. Suppose to be non-smoking but even 2 calls to the front desk could not get someone who was chain smoking moved. The whole hallway smelled like cigarettes. Found the last customer's glasses on the floor beside the bed, the fridge freezer had not been defrosted in at least a year, so much for good housekeeping. The air conditioner was on the wall and rattled. The bathtub looked uncleaned until water washed over in and it was worn through the enamel. Did not stay for breakfast.
we attempted to check into 2 rooms. The first room stunk like urine ,in the halls also.I went to check into our room 112 and it hadn't been cleaned it was about 430. dirty towels beds not made. The front desk woman was more than apologetic and tried to find a solution. We couldn't take 2nd floor because of no elevator for my mother in law. while waiting in the lobby to find another hotel a big spider walked across the carpet.
Arrived bit late in evening to friendly staff. Our room was waiting for us. Easy check in with helpful information about getting around town for dinner. Good value would recommend. The continental breakfast was very good.
very nice people here. Service was extremely pleasant. One of the employees Catherine was amazing ! For some reason my reservation wasn't showing up in the system when I got here after a long drive but she was very helpful in quickly assessing the problem n getting me to a comfortable bed. Really good place to stay I would recommend it, and will be choosing the ramada for my Windsor travels
