They did not have a room for me to stay. Then they give me a room with no blinds and no air conditioning. The room smelled. The best thing was the front desk person. I spent hours sitting in a car. Expedia was not helpful. After 47 minutes with an agent, my call got dropped. They did not help me find a place to stay. I am a woman traveling along then you offer me $25.00 credit. My safety and life is wroth more, therefore you can keep your credit. I am tired and frustrated, this was truly my worst customer service experience, especially after doing an event all day without sleep and when I came to rest did not have a room or someone to care that i needed help. I am not even going to talk about using the bathroom, because there was no where for me to go. I am truly done! Thank you for a very very unpleasant night, one I will never forget.

Wouldn’t honor reservation

When we got there to check in, they had the reservation, but were sold out of rooms so they couldn’t honor it. They had never contacted us ahead of time to let us know. It’s was parents weekend for my daughter’s college and everywhere was sold out and they couldn’t give us a room or explain why this happened. It was exactly like the Seinfeld rental car scene. Worst and most baffling hotel experience I’ve ever had.

When we checked in, we were greeted with a roach on the floor and the room smelled like an ashtray. Then we noticed a second roach on the bed. We moved to another room and told it was a premium room and it would be a $30 up charge. Then we got in a bathtub that look like someone had rebuilt a motor in it to find out there’s no hot water. We called the front desk and we’re told we have to let the water run for 45 minutes before it gets warm. I called red roof corporate. They wanted a video of the cold water. The laminate floor I don’t think has been mopped since it was put in abandoned cars in the parking lot and the owner our manager that we try to speak to new little to no English. One customer was in the parking lot and said they would rather sleep in their car. Granted I know this is a bargain, lower end hotel chain but how can you wash your sheets and your linens without hot water? I made a complaint to Delaware health department..

I booked two rooms for the weekend a month in advance. However, the hotel was overbooked, so I had to scramble to find another place to stay the night. Mind you, there were seven of us, and we had just arrived from a four-hour trip. We didn't get a call about this, which is unprofessional. I felt bad for the receptionist because I wondered how many people may have cursed her out when she had to deliver the bad news. I expect my reimbursement to be processed with no issues.

The gentleman on the phone wasnt understanding didnt explain the situation well and very dismissive when i asked for a solution. Will hightly sugest you go somwhere else. This was a horrible experience! We booked a room there for Parents’ weekend advance. They called us at 6p the night of while we were out with our college son at an event to tell us they canceled our reservation with no explanation!? We had to scramble to find a room when there were no rooms available anywhere! We ended up sleeping at a roach motel that night! And did not refund us the money on top of that!! I tried calling them multiple times and they answer! They ruined our weekend with our son… I’m extremely disappointed.

Not Safe & Not Comfortable!

My experience at this location was not good. The area felt unsafe, and there were several people outside doing drugs and smoking. The rooms were okay, but I noticed cockroaches running around, which was very unpleasant. Also, even though the property clearly says “No Smoking,” people were smoking upstairs, and the smell carried through the hallways. Overall, I did not feel comfortable staying here.
