Great location and property is nice overall for decent and inexpensive stay - not Williamsburg Inn of course... But they need to put a little bit more effort into it since Best Western bought it from Clarion. Crack in the wall in our room 445. Shower head is half broken. For three star and location wise still an awesome hotel. Staff is awesome - they try to help you all the way. The Corp office needs to wake up and finish the job!!!!!!

The inn was clean and in in excellent condition. Due to the panic, some of the amenities were unavailable due to the panic (the pool was open and looked great). We found the staff helpful and friendly.

The staff was very friendly. it is very conveniently located near everything in Williamsburg. Few issues with the toilet seat and the phone, but still a good place to stay.

Good location within a mile or so of merchants square (could walk through neighborhood probably), basic amenities, adjacent restaurant was convenient, quiet room. Economical price.

The woman who decorated the hotel with Christmas decorstions was wonderful! She made some excellent suggestions for places to eat breakfast and was just pleasant and charming. The only thing I did not like was the cleaning crew starting so early and playing their music as they cleaned. If anyone wanted to sleep in they better have ear plugs. Luckily we were up, but hearing them yell and knock as they made their rounds was not peaceful, or a nice way to start the morning.

Location was great for activities we had planned. Found a live cockroach in our room. Bathroom was not cleaned well. Would not stay here again.

Indoor pool requires you to walk outside. One of two rooms with no power one morning for twenty minutes while one person was in a dark shower. No explanation, no apology. Room was spacious and appeared clean.

Nothing place stunk and sounded like a animal kennel

The proximity to sites, attraction and dinning, the staff was friendly and very helpful and knowledgeable.

It was near the historic district (as the name suggest). Hotel need renovations..not perfect but not bad. I'll stay there again.

I had a few problems here (card key wouldn't unlock the door to the room, I had to be given a new room; air conditioner from the room upstairs was leaking onto the window sill inside the new room; window wouldn't open/close all the way), but the room was otherwise adequate. Was completely unimpressed with the breakfast buffet ($10 extra - a lot of hotels have better breakfasts for free). The one bright spot here were the very helpful, polite, and attentive hotel staff - they did a great job of helping another guest with a difficult problem (not of the hotel's making).

We chose this hotel because of the pool. The pool was broken and ice cold. We were shrugged off by the staff. Explain that to your kids. The room was dirty and smelly, stains on the beds and all over the shower curtain. Glad to be gone.

The carpet in our room desperately needs to be shampooed. I don't think the floor boards have been cleaned in a very long time. The hotel could use a fresh coat of paint. You could smell the mold.

Poor job renovating, multiple paint layers preventing doors from closing. When doors forced close the paint chips off. Cheap, rough feeling towels. Carpet runs. Non-smoking room smelt like cigarette smoke. Shampoo had almond oil base which makes unusable to those with tree nut allergies.

Ok room...beds ok...moldy smell...good location....close to Busch gardens. ...

After the third day we had to switch rooms cause we were infested with roaches! The refrigerator was broke upon arrival. No microwave. The only good thing was it's location.

They are obviously remodeling, the outside of the hotel and the lobby was clean and welcoming. Check in was a breeze, the clerk was very friendly, efficient and a joy to deal with. I had booked a king, single. The toilet was broken; tank just kept running but never filled. I went down and told them, they were going to call someone. Half-hour later, I went down again, they had forgotten. Then the person they sent, could not fix, it said he was not “a plumber” and that I would probably have to move rooms. The desk called, I went down picked up keys to the new room. This room, (I guess my fault because I did not ask and verify) was a double, not what I’d booked. At this point, I was just happy to be in a room. I went to make a cup of coffee the first cup (they have two coffee mugs in the room) was chipped and broken around the lip, the second, had a layer of coffee sludge in the bottom of it. That made me question the overall cleanliness of the room but it seemed to be fine and there were paper cups so I was at least able to get coffee. Otherwise, the room was fine, nothing special but comfortable. Bathroom is very cramped, the shower rod was loose on the wall and sagged, which caused the curtain not to fully close slide toward the center. They appear to be going through a major remodel so maybe things will improve although I do not think I will try them again. There are too many other choices in the area.

Thanks for your review. The pool has two entrances - one o the front side that does require outside walk. The other entrance is opposite this entrance and requires you to enter thru an enclosed glass vestibule which does not make you go outside. The power issue was due to no-fault ground for electrical appliances plugged into same circuit. Issue was reset but I am not happy that my Team did not explain this to you and I will coach them concerning this issue.
