The hotel has shared amenities with the mangrove resort so you have to walk across for entertainment. You have to book reservations for certain restaurants the day before and the reservation desk shuts off early so if you come in late evening you wont be able to attend themed restaurants foe 2 nights. The walls are thin i could hair the shower in the room above me. It had its good an its bad. I would recommend but do not expect world class service. I must make mention to the front desk clerk yhoursiie she was a gem and helped alleviate the inconveniences as best as possible

The staff particularly at Reception and Bar areas would rather be on their cell phones than serving customers. So much so, youā€™re often told or made to wait until private conversations or texts are completed. The pool is seldom cleaned..a paper servette was at the bottom for most of one week.

We Stayed on the Rif side of the hotel. Check in was smoothā€¦most of the staff on the Rif side seem to be non-existentā€¦..we had to keep going to the bar by the pool to get our own drinksā€¦.buffet food is really goodā€¦did not get a chance to eat at the other restaurants bc we had to make reservations between 10am-4pm and there was no one to accommodate us

It was a very beautiful property. There were some blackouts when I was there but they rectified it quickly. The food wasnā€™t really all too good. If I stay here again Iā€™d eat outside of the property.

First off, property is great - design, atmosphere and staff were very welcoming had no issues there. Rooms were neatly designed and it even showed a welcome with your name on the TV which not a lot of hotels do so thatā€™s a nice touch to make you feel appreciative. Only issue we had was - we had booked a private swim out pool, but our room location was not that great despite how beautiful it was. Unfortunately that one room in particular 4047 sits at the end where you can see directly into the parking garage and anyone in the garage can just look directly into your whole room if you open the blinds and that made it uncomfortable to even use the pool at all which we didnā€™t. We ended up have to visit guest services/front desk regarding this but with the hotel being booked we got switched 1 day prior to our leave and only got to use the pool once when we moved to a more better suited located swim out pool room. Only recommendation is to literally plant more trees in that area and to create and/or barricade the area so itā€™s way more comfortable to staff. Outside of that, the food was okay (breakfast) as much as there were a lot of options it wasnā€™t the best tasting food given Iā€™m from Jamaica where food is generally 10/10. However, lunch and dinner options were far better and more enjoyable. Still would recommend trying out local restaurants outside the hotel so you donā€™t miss out on what the island has to offer in terms of food. Outside of that, hotel was great!

Check in was smooth & easy. Location great for walk to town. We did that every day since there was not a beach to walk. Room was spacious, with little space for storage. Bed was comfortable, water pressure was good. Nice balcony overlooking the pool and cruise ships. Would not have wanted any other view. Room was serviced every day. The whole place was very clean. Elevators were quick, stairs were convenient. The Rif was much quieter than the Mangrove. Beaches at both resorts were not much to look at, but nice enough and snorkeling at Mangrove was okay. Beach/pool chairs always available, but good spots taken early at Mangrove beach. Beach/pool towels were plentiful and always available. There were plenty of bars well located throughout the resort. Most bartenders were friendly and attentive. The drinks were not consistent between bartenders. Rif has better alcohol. The buffet was big with lots of options. Not so many if you're gluten free, as I am. Always had small gf section with rice, fish sautƩ, & chicken sautƩ, drumsticks, or dry pork chops. I took chance with several other items that I thought might be gluten free, risking cross contamination. We could always find some food that was good. Restaurant reservations were kind of a pain. Slow line up at 10am. Learned the app was easier. Service varied. Food was okay. Entertainment was lacking at both resorts. Some at 9pm (kinda late). Would be nice to have some local music. Kayak tour offered at resort was nice

The property was very nice. Rooms were clean. Lots of food options. We stayed here specifically for snorkeling directly from the hotel which we were able to do. The kids loved the water slides.

The Rif was perfect for my stay. From the moment I checked in I was greeted with smiles and hospitality. Timo, hope I got his name right, was very thorough with my check in and advised me well on location of restaurants bars and other amenities around the property. Every staff member I encountered was pleasant and helpful if I needed anything, from the front desk to the bar staff to the bell boys to the restaurant staff to house keeping, all top notch in my books. Excellent property, clean and beautiful. The food is exquisite, so many option one one more delicious than the other, you can not go wrong with any food option, for me is the best buffet comparing with the 5 island we had been so far. Curacao is a beautiful and colorful island that should be in everyone destination. They can improve the recreation and also the customer service by adding personal to assist the buffet area, the attendant are so few that they can not assist everyone and the guest are who pay for the poor service, they are hard workers, needing more Human Resources. The few personal at the buffet are hard workers but is a big buffet needing more of them to guest get more customer service. But I loved the hotel the beach, even though it has a rocky entrance. I definitely want to go back to Curacao and to The Rif

The food was terrible. The staff in the restaurants were terrible. The mangrove part of the hotel was terrible. Water at the beach was not as pretty as any other hotel on the island. Drinks were fine. Quick walk to town was nice.
