Very nice hotel at the City Center of Wiesbaden - Germany. Perfect for business travel. Located in front of the main train station. Good business area for meetings and company events. Very quiet stay!
This was during an overnight stay as a business trip, and I had no problems with my room. Unfortunately, there was a rooming issue with the group I travelled with, where some people somehow got single rooms while one person had no room at all. Though the staff was able to get one more room, there wasn’t much that could be done to fix the other rooms. At least everyone had a place to stay, but how the hotel messed up the rooms after receiving updates from the group by email is anyone’s guess. Other than that, it was a very nice hotel.
Well located in a quiet area of town, this hotel offers standard business rooms, clean and with all comfort including free wifi. Bathroom is a bit tiny for my taste and shower pressure definitively on the low side, not the one to wake you up in the morning. Breakfast buffet is good with many options and the breakfast room clear and large. Nice underground parking will good light. Reception is very germanic, not too friendly but efficient, with nearly no wait time at any time.
Nice rooms. With tiny bathrooms. Nice part is you can open the window for some fresh air. Parking during day not easy and underground very expensive. Breakfast and dinner are off good quality. To bad that staff has lost their interest in their work as they are all fast from friendly
The hotel is handily situated only a short walk away from the railway station, which is a good thing if you arrive late by train or you have to take train several times during your stay - on the other hand, there isn't much else of great interest in the immediate vicinity of the hotel (at least not yet - they are building a big conference center in the same neighborhood, though). It's a big hotel. I would say, too big. Corridors were long, the lobby was big, the breakfast hall even bigger... only people were missing. The hotel really lacks all "homey" or "warm" feelings. Somehow it felt like half abandoned - well, it's still better than too crowded, it you want to think positively. The room was big with rather ordinary furniture. Big clouds of dust came from the armchair when our daughter slapped it a couple of times. The floor was covered with fitted carpet, which may be an issue for some sensitive persons. But otherwise it was ok. Bathroom was clean and modern. Wifi was easy to use. The biggest disappointment was breakfast. It was actually quite expensive, but mediocre at most. For example, rolls were hard as rock (not fresh). Some of the yogurt cups were already past their "best before" date. On some days they served great coffee on tables, but on some days (at least on Sunday) there was only lousy coffee from a vending machine available. The info signs telling the contents of some food bowls were on same order every day, even though the order of bowls was changing. And so on... The price of the breakfast was something like 25-30 percent of the total cost, so we really did expect something better. All in all, it was a three star experience with the price of four or five stars...
The hotel rooms are large and clean with all standard amenities. The buffet at the Hotel restaurant has a good choice of food and covers both salad and meat options The hotel is in a quite part of town with very little traffics around. There is also a bar which seems to be open all day. Would certainly recommend the hotel for visitors in this area
A mainly wretched experience. Carpet slippers that disintegrate tells us everything you need to know. The lighting is controlled by a mechanism that *cannot* be managed, and so you can count on getting lights where you do not want them and no lights when you do. A genius designed the safe to be opened with credit card: the safe is too small to accommodate a computer and the fact that it needs to be operated with a credit card means that you cannot protect either your computer or your credit card. A maniacal rushing sound runs through the pipes in the wall behind the bathroom 24/7. A clerk tells me it is the "wind." Right! But today it's windless. NO toiletries. NO swimming pool. A corporate capitalist dump--avoid! PS. It gets one point because the breakfast is lavish, but as we ate during the closing quarter of an hour, the noise produced by the waiting crew was almost unbearable. PPS. I asked the reception desk to call a taxi for me. They did not. I was lucky to find one, after searching, outside one of the many doors to the lobby.
Nice hotel, great food, excellent service! I spend 2 days on business conferences there and everything was perfect. The rooms, the restaurant, the people. The weather was cold but in the hotel the climate was excellent. It's opposite the train station and only 5 min from city centre. Looking forward to come again!
This is a great place to stay and an easy walk to the main town area. Good food and a great place for business meetings and parties. Also close to the train station so easy access to Frankfurt airport and other locations that are worth exploring.
Wiesbaden is a really small city with a population that doesn't really speak English, French or Spanish with a poor grip on basic knowledge and in most hotels normal technologies is a LUXURY so by far Dorint has best English speaking staff and all in all a good hotel that will be closest to what you are use too
