The Village of Loon Mountain

3.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Condo Resort with ample amenities. Several indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs. Lots of outdoor activities to do in the area all year round. Hiking, biking and skiing and beautiful fall foliage. Plenty of restaurants to eat out at if you don't want to cook.

We spent a week at the Village of Loon Mountain and it was heaven. Great room, excellent amenities, incredible staff, all of it. The weather was horrible, rained all week. The resort had events, fireplaces, cable, and a glorious view. We didn't even care that we didn't see any moose (who knew moose season started that week. I cannot say enough about this resort. And a special thanks to the girls at the registration desk, Andrea (Amanda-I forget) and Autumn. If you get the chance it is worth the trip.

The property is large but rooms are poorly maintained. The carpets were very old and had dirt in them, the corridors were not clean. Bathrooms were out dated and our room AC was not working. Luckily there were fans.

We've stayed in a number of condos over the years. This is not the fanciest we've stayed at, but it was most definitely a well-thought-out layout, both of the resort & of the units. Our family had 2 units, a 1-bedroom & a 2-bedroom. The layout in the ground floor 1-bedroom was such that we were able to host our other family members for meals. That was very nice, as at the time I couldn't climb stairs. From before we arrived, staff were wonderful. They accommodated my last-minute request tor a ground floor apartment, in the same building as the rest of our family. The first day a family member needed a specific item at WalMart, & someone from the front desk came to our room with a map & phone #'s of the WalMarts in the area. Staff was always more than helpful. Although we were there for Fall Foliage, the resort still had 2 indoor pools & hot tubs available in the centrally located Activity Center. The location is directly across the highway from Loon Mountain Ski area. Wonderful location to all that we wanted to do & see!

Though the staff and the view are wonderful, the property looks like it's frozen in the 1970's. The units should be updated so you don't think you've entered a time warp. All appliances worked and everything was comfortable just felt like we were staying in an old ski lodge.

The staff was friendly and they had a fun game room on site. The overall place was dated and needed work. Our room needed a good cleaning. This woul not be my first choice since there are many places to stay in this area.

Excellent location, with comfortable furniture and beds. It's rather worn-looking but otherwise we loved our stay. Although we didn't use the recreational facilities, they looked clean and attractive.

Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Room had an amazing Mountain View, fully stocked kitchen as well as private balcony.. Had everything we needed and then some! Looking forward to staying there again soon.

Had a wonderful time, as always, at the time-share that I have owned since 1975. The hosts at the Lodge were professional and friendly and very willing to help make our stay memorable. My only concern was that the time share that I occupied needs a bit of updating as far as furniture and carpeting.

The heating units are falling apart and dirty. The walls have chips in the paint and it needs painting. The appliances are old and in need of updating. Generally the unit is just tired and old. This unit is part of my timeshare company and the worst I’ve experienced so far.
