Rooms tired shabby and basic shower was nigh on impossible to use. Bed hard and noise level not great. Rude security on the door. Was alone and was treat as though I was a working girl. Just because I'm alone doesn't mean I'm up to no good !
Meets the requirements of business travellers and a worm and welcoming staff to serve. Avery good restaurant, more options available near the hotel. Good Internet uplink. Room design could be more modern, but are OK to standard and bed. Work space in room satisfactory.
Good location in the city centre, hotel is clean with good Wi-Fi service. There is limited parking next to the hotel - 4 spaces, so it is first come first served! Breakfast is good value for money if you make full use of all items available, though you do have to pay if you require omelette.
Stay here with 2 friends on a Saturday evening. Plus points: Good location very close to Leeds train station and pubs/bars. Ok but the bad points * Room lacked tea and coffee. Had to request from hotel and even then what we got was minimal for three people * Fridge didn't work * Sofa bed in room very uncomfortable * Lifts slow * Receptionist was very unfriendly who checked us in and didn't explain things to us like where fitness suite was or the Latin bar * Really overpriced room. It was pretty small. Wallpaper peeling off wall The website make this hotel look amazing, but sadly it's overpriced, needs a redocration (the rooms) and there are many other better hotels in Leeds to choose from. Will not stay again sadly.
We just booked this hotel last minute as we got the train to Leeds for some drinks and food, this hotel is basic but clean and a great location if you're just coming for a shop or for a night out. I would definitely stay here again, purely for location. The bar isn't fancy & is expensive but then with the choices of bars around the hotel that didn't bother us as we just went out. For the price we paid the hotel didn't disappoint & I would recommend it.
Great location, lovely staff, nice hotel. Unfortunately the quality of pillows was such that neither my friend nor I got any sleep. The pillows were like sleeping on a bench and resulting in a sore neck for days afterwards. Change the pillows and I would have given this hotel an excellent review as everything else was perfect.
I was shocked at this hotel. I booked the Park Plaza last minute as my plans had changed and I needed to stay in Leeds. I filtered my search on parking available at the hotel and city centre and this appeared a great fit. On arrival I found out there was actually no parking and you had to park in a local multi storey car park around a 8 minute walk from the hotel so not a great start. On check in the staff were great when they finally found my reservation. I had an executive room on the 16th floor and this was just not up to standard. The bathroom had damp patches on the ceiling and I later discovered the bedding was torn (see photos). I had rated my check in experience on line when I was sent a link. The hotel actually responded to this and sent an email on the evening offering to change my room but by the time this came through I was actually in bed and after a long day I was to tired get dressed and to repack late at night to change the room. The location of my room was also terrible as I was located next to a family with small children who were crying late at night and early on the morning and as a parent I understand this can happen, as I travel with my children too but we are normally not put next to business travellers. All in all the only thing good about this hotel was the location. It should be so good but it just isn't.
Stayed here last night (18th August). Excellent customer sevice upon check in - allowed us to check in early which was great. Friendly and helpful staff. Great location, shops and places to eat and drink nearby. Room was clean, spacious, comfortable. Nice Elemis toiletries which smelled lovely. Nice bathroom - the frosted glass bathroom door was dirty at the bottom however. Comfortable bed, good nights sleep. Overall a very nice overnight stay.
Had a lovely stay with my partner, welcomed by the staff, free upgrade and kept our stuff whilst we was exploring the city after checkout! Highly recommended and would stay here again if I was to return to Leeds!
As a couple we regularly visit Leeds for an overnight stay and each time we pick a different hotel. I have to say that the Park Plaza is so far the best we have stayed at. Good level of cleanliness, friendly and polite staff and a decent sized and well appointed room. Central location with great views of the city from the 19th floor. Wouldn't hesitate to return.
