Host was very punctual in sending access code for my stay. Home has all the basic things you would need in, restroom and kitchen. Home was clean and well kept. I would suggest he add flat surfaces in living room for drinks and in bedrooms for suitcases etc. but otherwise everything was great and as pictured.

Place was extremely clean and perfect for our weekend stay. Location was great and owner even left us a very nice welcoming note. Definitely a place I would stay again!

Quaint and peaceful!

My husband and I had a lovely time in West Jefferson, staying at David's quaint and peaceful newly refurbished mobile home. It is only 6 miles from West Jefferson. A sweet town to visit along with Jefferson State Park for hiking on the trails. This home away from home is sweet and charming. A personal handwritten welcome note with a jar of apple butter from Ashe County Cheese greeted us as we walked in the door. A very nice touch! It was the perfect size for the two of us but would easily accommodate four adults or a family of four. All new appliances, a very nice and comfortable new couch along with comfortable beds. This is an important feature!It was very clean! This is another important feature. Fresh towels stocked in the bathroom and clean crisp sheets on the beds. Everything that we needed was available.There was a peaceful view from the back patio looking down at the New River and seeing nature as you sat drinking your morning coffee. There is ample space(flat)for two cars to park and then a nice flat grassy area for small children to play. It's a good place to play corn hole with room to sit on the front deck or along the grassy area. The back has a small area that you could sit around a fire pit and roast marshmallows. David was punctual with replies to my questions and he also called to see if I had received the code for entrance. It was a pleasure to work with him. A peaceful get away for the week or just a weekend.

Great stay for us

We had a great stay and would stay again. David had quick responses and great communication. It was beautiful from the deck. I would suggest having some kind of table with the chairs out there to sit coffee on. It was a beautiful location even with the road within view. The noise level was minimal.
