We booked at D-hotel as a married couple and they gave a 2 single separated bed's room with two single blankets. No flexibility for changing room, no double blanket available. The room was cold at night while the thermo indicated 28 degrees. Some pictures !!!
Very stylish hotel with a big SPA, cosy rooms, good breakfast. Nice atmosphere combines historic windmill and modern amenities. We had a pleasant romantic weekend here. I'm giving 4 stars because the pool inside the spa didn't work and we weren't aware of that. If there were a bit more people there would be not enough space in the spa definitely! No restaurant at the hotel but we knew about that and have reserved dinner in Kortrijk. That would not be possible without a car though. To be honest, hotel is a very good 3* but considering design and spa it's 4*. We would come back
A traditional windmill and barns with a concrete carbuncle to turn it into a hotel. It is very modern and open but the juxtaposition between the two just about works. The staff were friendly, room clean and the breakfast was good. But, the hotel just tried to hard to be cool. The hotel was cold, lifeless and just used to many gadgets - the bedroom light switch was an LCD display and just not needed. The shower had no curtain/door and the floor got very wet and slippery. Corridors were dark and unnecessarily so. The other parts of the hotel were very quiet and lifeless. No evening food was available either. All this said, I would stay again, but only if we had evening plans etc.
Was very pleasantly surprised to find myself here during a brief visit to Belgium. The hotel is stunning, contemporary with very cool bedrooms. The room I was in was clean and comfortable, had a great, peaceful sleep. Breakfast was an amazing spread, top quality fresh continental breakfast also scrambled eggs and bacon on offer in the buffet. The only disappointment was that there was no food available on site in the evening with the bistro being shut. Would love to return in summer to make use of the outdoor facilities and visit the windmill
We visited hotel in combination with a visit to Kortrijk, Ypres and the Belgian coast. A trendy, special hotel. Design is minimalistic, but comfortable. Integration of the old windmill in the design is very nice. De rooms are large and very clean. The 'open' design if the bathroom is a bit special, but nice for a change. Beds are very good. The view is less convincing. We did not try the spa, as it requires fully naked entry. Too bad. The breakfast is absolutely excellent. We were able to book with a discount. For a slightly lower price, this hotel is highly recommended.
If U are looking for something downtown, not recommended since no where near town and the nearest restaurant is about 1km away... Note no dinner service.. But breakfast has a nice selection :) Besides not being in the central, this is a really cool and lovely place to be! Smack in a nice housing estate.. This unique piece of structure is itself a sight! The rooms are comfy, modern and within the bathrooms, axor hansgrohe materials are installed.. Tasteful! These aside... Pictures posted says all about the hotel!
The design of the building is definitely unique and very nice... from the outside. The inside is modern but that seems to include having to pass through dark corridors (lights changing colours and sometimes no lights at all) to get to your bedroom. The same goes for the gym, which is immersed in darkness half the time (needless to say that there are no light switches as it's all automatic). The rooms are ok, with a user-friendly screen which allows guests to control lighting and air conditioning, however the fact that there is no door to separate the bathroom & toilet from the bedroom definitely only makes the twin rooms agreeable if you're on your own. There's plenty of parking space which is really handy. This hotel is ok for one night but probably less so for a prolonged stay.
I exactly don't recommend this hotel to anybody. the hotels seems to be for dead people. there is nobody around at all, even the staff!!! so the service level is very bad, location is not convenient unless you have a car. there is a spa but it is only open for couple of hours. they are also charging for it. the funniest thing about the spa is you have to make a reservation for a massage 3 days ago!!! the restaurant is closing early, there is not a nearby restaurant. just, don't!!!
The Hotel is very beatifull, the rooms also even the standard ones. The owner has a very good taste. The ideas and the reality to accomplish this Hotel is very unique. Breaffast is very good, a lot of choices to choose out. Even in the evening the Hotel is very beatifull to see. We already have been here for 3 times and sure we will come for a 4th time. Location is also very good to visit several well known places nearby.
We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and weren't impressed. We booked via travel bird at a very reasonable rate. We booked one of the suites as this was a special weekend for my birthday. Checkin was fairly easy and staff was friendly. iPod they give you as a key is a nice gadget but didn't work perfectly. We definitely prefer an ordinary key card. The room was very big and a bit "cold and lifeless" at the start, but we got used to that. However, it's clear that the rooms (at least ours), although very clean are starting to show wear. Shower was working well but no screen or curtain so the entire bathroom is wet when you take a shower. This mould also damaged the bathroom door, not a nice sight! Hi tech control for light and AC is nice, but again, more a gadget than a necessity. We do have to say that the room (and the rest of the hotel) were very quiet, so we slept like babies! We also tried the wellness part of this hotel. Not a great experience. Very dark place overall. I admit we are used to a very good wellness centre in our area, but this was below standard. If it is included in the rate (like we had) you might give it a try, but if you're paying (€27) for it, just skip it! Breakfast was ok but nothing too special. We didn't try the restaurant. All in all we had a good time, but weren't overwhelmed by this place.
