This home is lovely, quiet, clean and very comfortable. The bed and linens are great - I actually looked forward to getting into them each night. The kitchen amenities of coffee, sugar, creamer are very welcome in the morning. There is virtually no noise from the family upstairs. There was always a parking spot right by the home. Plenty of walkway lighting. The only note for the host is perhaps to add lighting at the bottom of the steps leading to the entrance which is dark at night. I will stay here again for certain. Thank you for the hospitality!

So comfortable and lovely

Our stay was delightful. We really enjoyed the smart Nordic design, bright and comfortable rooms and thoughtful details of this little apartment. I was in DC to have surgery - the accommodations were perfect for our needs.

Graduation weekend!

We came to see our son graduate from Georgetown and spend some time in the city and this space was perfect - very clean, spacious, nice amenities, easy parking, quiet neighborhood. Sometimes we took an uber and sometimes drove around but all worked out well. Very pleased with our booking - thank you!

Long Weekend in DC

We had a great time with our kids for their first trip to DC. There was easy access to parking, getting in and out of town, lots of places close by to eat or shop. This was a perfect spot for our family to rest our heads after a long day of exploring.

Lovely locale and great space!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The property is a short drive from the Fort Totten metro, with plenty of food and entertainment nearby. Ample space and certainly not lacking in amenities. We appreciated how communicative the property manager was and how accommodating they were as well. We would stay here again without a second thought.

Close to bus stop and downtown. Bright space for a down stairs apartment. Construction in town and on the street during our stay to a little adjustment but great place!

cozy vacation home

The basement apartment was well furnished with all the necessities and amenities, including a hair dryer. Communication with the host was very good and they were responsive to my questions. Best thing was the parking which is free on the one-way street while we were there.

Nice stay!

We enjoyed our time at Top of the Town. The apartment was comfortable and clean, with plenty of space for three people. The pull-out bed in the couch in the living room was comfortable for our teenager. There is a bus stop two blocks from the rental, which connects to metro stations for easy commuting around town without having to drive everywhere.

Loved the hominess feel of the place. It felt like a quiet little garden apartment versus a crowded noicy hotel. It was just what I was looking for during my 5 day, 4 night stay in DC area. I was quite surprised how easy the Metro Bus was to use to get to downtown DC. I also loved the 5 block proximity to the beautiful Rock Creek Park. I definitely want to book this unit again in the future.

Great place and nice neighborhood

The place was well appointed inside and easy to get into. It was convenient for taking the bus downtown or walking to Rock Creek Park. The neighborhood seemed real safe and I was walking late at night. Good bed, kitchen, table, living area. Property management was very helpful getting me ready and checking in during my stat.

This basement apartment is very light, clean, and well furnished. The family who owns the home is very helpful. A service handles communications and is very prompt although not as easy to use as could be. But not bad. We would definitely stay here again! W

DC 7 day stay

The place was great. Even as presented online! Very spacious. Very clean and updated furnishing. Lots of options for television entertainment. Kindness and helpfulness of the owner was much appreciated. Our only suggestion is to get a railing for the steps going to the lower level.

Lovely place in Uptown

The apartment is very clean and in a nice neighbourhood in Uptown DC. The kitchen is well equipped and it was great to have access to the outside patio. The parking outside was also a great bonus. One thing to note for tall people is that the ceiling is quite low so remember to duck! (My partner banged his head on the beams multiple times). Would recommend for a neighbourhood stay in DC.

Loved it

Property was as advertised. Worked so well for my husband and me and our adult daughter. Comfortable, appreciated the extras…plenty of paper towels, toiletries, garbage bags…things that other places seem to skimp on. Communication was great. Recommend a brighter light on the side path into the home at night; have your cell phone flashlight on. Also REALLY appreciated the parking - no need for a pass!

Illness Prevented Stay

I had set up this stay for my parents when visiting. Illness prevented them from visiting unfortunately. However, the Property manager/owner stayed in contact with us the entire time and was very easy to work with. She was willing to refund the cleaning fee & other built-in fees which was much appreciated. I would absolutely try to book this again with her.
