Could not fault the location. Comfy bed excellent WiFi and good tv. Response from the management company was excellent but could not resolve the issue we had with the drainage smells constantly coming into the apartment.

Picture is not accurate. My request to post the correct property picture and description for this review from host Stay Bubo was not done. My original reservation location was changed within a couple hours of our check in by two conflicting voice mails. The first said it was due to an insect issue and the second a refrigerator or garbage disposal problem. The new location did not have hot water in the bathroom sink, the tub did not have anti-slip material, the mattress had bed bugs and fleas(found in the tub after showering), there was no anti-trip high-vis tape on the tile floor step near the back entrance and no facial tissue or laundry detergent supplied. Location was a lot further from points of interest I had planned on walking to. This property should not have been available as an alternate period.

Location! Location! Location! Overall the apartment worked well for us. The only negative was that several of the dishes/pans that were stored in the cabinets had to be washed before we could use them. Worked well for our stay!

The place had a horrible smell and I heard some mouse or rat scratches at nigh. I complained and the next day they offered to cancel my reservation but no help otherwise. I was left with no place to stay. Luckily I complained to Vrbo and they were able to help me get a new place. The owners wouldn’t take the calls from Vrbo, which made it much more difficult.

I went for a short work and leisure trip. It was perfect for me in terms of price and location. It was clean and cute, nothing luxurious but had everything I needed. Supermarkets and a variety of top restaurants are close by. Host answered my questions and kept in touch in case I needed anything. I would recommend it if you're traveling solo or with a partner. I would also stay again. Many thanks to the host!

Great stay in the heart of it all!

The apartment was just the right size for two people. We loved being just a quick walk away from DuPont Circle snd all that it has to offer. We walked to the National Mall which was about two miles, but easy and beautiful in the nice weather. It was great to have nice bars, restaurants, and cafes so close by. We HIGHLY recommend Au Late! The communication was excellent and we were thankful for some great restaurant recommendations. We would definitely stay again!

Adequate basement apartment with great location!

An adequate basement apartment with one bedroom and a very basically stocked kitchen. The mattress is firm and very comfortable. The location is truly wonderful being on a quiet street with easy access to 14th Street with its fun shopping and restaurants and its good access to 18th Street and 16th Street where a lot of interesting restaurants and clubs await the visitor. The nearest metro stop is a Brisk 10 minute walk to U Street Station. Our internet connection was excellent! As was the television. We would definitely stay there again but mostly for its prime location. If enjoying the town is your goal and your apartment is just a place to sleep comfortably, this is a wonderful place to stay.
