About the Behrens Building
The Behrens Lofts were originally built in 1913 for the Behrens Drug Company as a fireproof concrete structure and are one of the few buildings to withstand the 1953 Waco tornado. Space is amazing and perfect for our purposes. No complaints there. Only issue is sound. There is a fair amount of street noise that can mostly Be masked by the hvac fan. The train went through early once and nothing could block that out. Also grateful people above us weren’t early risers because you could hear all footsteps when they walked around.

Great location and a cute space. There is a bit of noise from the local bars that can be heard inside, but that’s to be expected downtown. The only improvement would be for the property to have an easier route from the designated parking space to the rear entrance. Sometimes the key fob would not work in the front entrance to the building causing you to walk all the way around.

Perfect Stay in Waco

My mom and I had a wonderful girls weekend stay at this loft. It is gorgeous, the location is perfect, and overall spotless. We loved the location and were able to walk to almost every place we wanted to visit in Waco. We fell in love with the Fabled bookshop and coffee cafe located next door.
