The staff at the desk was wonderful and very helpful. The bus station is close by to take the tram to Venice. There was a leak in the shower that ran to the floor. It seemed like a waste of a fresh towel to throw in the floor to sop up the water. The AC wasn't so great. The thermostat went down to 17 degree celsius, but my room never made it anywhere near 75 degrees. The room was about 80 degrees on the last night. The bathroom does not have a vent, so you have to fan it dry manually. The mornings were cool outside, so we opened a window and the room door to get a breeze. We were not interested in hot showers, but the bathroom got a little steamy. Breakfast was great (lots of variety) and the hotel is very nice. The bar was wonderful. The hotel seems a little out of the way, which made it quiet. Parking at the garage was great. Price I paid was great. Ended up paying about 3 euro a day for the transportation to/from Venice. You can't complain about that!!! Do ask for help at the desk, they can sell you the transportation tickets. getting on the bus from the tram was a little confusing. There were 6 bus stops near the tram pick up area. Also, it was clear to me which tram to take. We lucked out and people also staying at our hotel pointed us in the right direction.
The word airport in the name of this hotel suggests that it close to the airport. That is why we booked it. In truth it is a good distance away and required two separate expensive cab trips.
We were visiting with relatives who live in Mestre and took side trips to Padua and the Dolomites as well as sightseeing in the islands of the Venetian Lagoon. For us, the location was great as we were spending about half of our visit outside of Venice. It takes less than 10 minutes by bus to Mestre's Piazza Ferretto and the Mestre open-air market. Getting into Venice was also easy as the bus stop is only a short walk from the Hotel. It takes about 35 minutes by bus to reach the Piazzale Roma terminal in Venice. However, the last bus back leaves Venice at about 8:30 pm so we ended up taking taxis on several nights. The Hotel has a very good breakfast buffet and a surprisingly good restaurant for dinner. Hotel staff is multilingual and very accommodating. Rooms are clean, comfortable, and modern.
Classy modern Hotel. Staff greated us in Itailan and instantly switched to English after we talked. Would stay again.
staff was courteous and very helpful! we were at the end of our trip so we wanted something close to the airport yet easy access to venice. the only drawback was thar it wasn't close to shopping, and if you were looking for nightlife, this wouldn't be for you, but all you have to do is ask, and the staff will go out of their way to please! Hopefully will return soon! Thank you!
