La Maison is such a beautiful, eclectic establishment, and our host was so kind and gracious. The ambiance was relaxing in subtle ways. The surrounding area was lively and fun.

Absolutely 5 star experience! A must visit and stay! The owner is lovely and goes out of his way to make you the most welcome, helpful for hiding you around and this spot is in the heart of the most charming part! Breakfast was amazing but the atmosphere is something you just can’t duplicate and they are the most gracious hosts!

This was a unique experience - the hotel itself (17th century mention), the decor and atmosphere and most importanlty sevice and attention by Frederic (who was fantastic). We stayed for 5 days and enjoyed every bit of it. It was almost like visitng your French ancle !!

We stayed 3 nights and this place was an absolute gem! Frederic was a wonderful host- from before we arrived he was taking care of us-he ensured we made it into town without a problem. Boutique Hotel in the Heart of L'Isle de Sorgue

Warm and friendly greetings by the Host when we arrived at the Hotel, who spoke perfect English. The Hotel was converted from a period French Mansion House into a Boutique style of Hotel. It is located in the centre of the town, very close to all of the shops, bars, cafes and restaurants. The conversion has been very tastefully carried out by the Host to maintain its old world charm and splendour. The room we stayed in was very large and beautifully decorated with a very modern and stylish en-suite bathroom and toilet. The breakfast was of a Mediterranean style provided with a variety of cheeses, meats, fruits, pastries and yogurts along with a cooked selection of eggs with bacon. Attached to the Hotel is their Arts and Crafts gallery selling fine works of art and sculptures Car parking was made very easy by the Host, in this busy town by allowing our rented car to be placed in their garage for the duration of our 3 day stay in L'Isle de Sorgue

I can not recommend this hotel highly enough. The whole experience was delightful. The town is an excellent base for touring the area, charming and friendly and really comes to life at the weekend. The hotel hosts couldn’t be more welcoming and helpful and provided a delicious breakfast each morning. It felt like being a special guest in their private home.

Great intimate hotel in an outstanding location

The hotel was right in the center of the island and convenient to all of the shops and restaurants. The owner, Fredrick, and his wife were delightful and helpful in every respect. It was a great experience and I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone visiting Provenance.

How can you improve on perfection

In the case of La Maison Sur La Sorgue, it would be impossible. For some unknown reason, Expedia was unhappy with our review, but to avoid another rejection all I can say is please stay there, you will not be disappointed.
