We - that is my partner & son stayed for five nights in this very clean, comfortable, 2 bed apartment on the lower level of the owner's south-facing home. Guests have their own entrance & the apartment is fully independent. The house sits on a steep-sloping hillside facing the sea from which it is separated by only a few stairs & a single road. Dave, the owner, provided us with a variety of excellent breakfasts every morning in his own quarters. There is good parking for a single vehicle. If you're visiting Vancouver or any of the lower Fraser valley communities and you don't mind a bit of driving, I can't recommend a better place to wake up in or relax at the end of the day. A beautiful, quiet, peaceful area with all amenities close at hand & a thoughtful & attentive host. All in all, a great experience. Can't recommend more highly.

We've been coming to the Ocean Rose Bed and Breakfast for a decade now and absolutely love it. Wifi, free parking and close access to the west end of the White Rock walkway and beach are just three of the attractions. Private entrance, TV and separate bedroom for children are also important. But it's the hearty breakfasts and always engaging conversations with the hosts that make Ocean Rose so enjoyable.

The B&B consists of one basement apartment under the owner’s primary residence. It has its own entrance and a few windows to brighten it. The decor is kitschy and fairly cluttered, but it’s clean, the shower was excellent, and all conveniences were laid on very generously, including snacks. Lovely views! There’s a large main room with a bed and a kitchenette, a bathroom, and a second bedroom with twins, so lots of room for a family to spread out. This is an old-fashioned, typical British-style B&B in which you will interact some with the friendly, welcoming proprietors so it’s a terrific choice for other outgoing, friendly people who enjoy getting to know others. The breakfast was lovely and was presented so creatively and thoughtfully! The breakfast area is upstairs in the owner’s own kitchen. Need to know: White Rock is undergoing extreme construction all over town. As of June 2018 there is demolition and new house construction going on on both sides of the B&B property, literally feet away from the door of the flat. It was jarring and very noisy starting early in the morning (7:45am) and lasting until early evening. It’s a temporary annoyance and is not in control of the proprietors obviously, but is something you should be aware of and investigate before booking if construction noise bothers you.

Always something peaceful about looking out to a large expanse of water.....Ocean Rose B&B has that ! Lovely lay out with lots of space. Nice amenities. Very personal touch and a delight to stay there. The hosts are wonderful and full of good tips. The breakfast was delicious and you can select from their offerings as well as pick a time. They are sincere and sweet folks that love what they do and are quite hospitable. We wish we could have stayed longer !! Lovely little town and lots to explore

Very good hospitality. We arrived before check in, however they let us leave our bags while we ventured up north to Vancouver for the day. Free parking and free breakfast a major plus. It’s only a 5-10 minute walk to the main drag of White Rock. Offers a good view from the room. Also, it is a great value for money. I would definitely recommend this place!

My wife and I where lucky to stay with David and Marilyn on our recent trip to North American. We had a big 4x4 and had no trouble parking it in the generous off street parking provided. The view from our room was second to none with outstanding views over the water and down the coast to the Peace Arch. A short walk (5 min) and we where on the waters edge, a really nice way to start the day before one of Davids legendary breakfasts. Having access to laundry facilities was an added bonus having been on the road for over 3 weeks it was great to sort the suit cases out. If you are looking for somewhere to stay i would recommend you don't go past David and Marilyns.

I had the best holiday here and was genuinely sad to leave. David, Marilyn, and their stunning cat Scotty are all so very lovely and made me feel at home. The views from the unit are fabulous, the breakfasts are amazing and the hospitality I received was second to none. I would definitely recommend staying here.

We were lucky enough to spend 2 nights with David and Marilyn in July. We liked the unit with its ocean view, and the fact that it had not only a king bed in the main area, but also a separate bedroom with 2 twins. We were not sure if our daughter would be with us so the option to have extra sleeping space was important. David could not have been a more gracious host. From his greeting when we arrived to the home-cooked breakfasts, which were not only delicious but generous in portion size. We liked how he left the menu choices with us the night before so that we knew what to expect in the morning. I am curious as to how he got the omelet I had crispy on the outside - it was so good! In the unit there were snacks and sodas. There was also tourist information about the general area. We really enjoyed our time there but there are a couple of items that bear mention as less than ideal. First, we found the king bed to be a little soft for our liking. The TV is old and could stand to be replaced. I had the volumn all the way up and could barely hear it. Also it should be noted that there are many stairs to get to the unit. While it is mentioned on their website, it isn't mentioned on hotels.com which is who we booked through. We really enjoyed our time here and would return. Our rating is more like a 4.5 but that is not an option!

If you intend to unwind, enjoy the beautiful beach, restaurants within a walking distance and get spoiled by the best breakfast in town, this is the place to go. tons and tons of restaurants and sunshine along the beach. great Sunday market by the way

If you're looking for a genuine B and B, this is it. It reminds me of the bed and breakfasts I used to go to in England, as a child, but better. The accommodation, which has an amazing view of the ocean, has a separate entrance and is private and independent of the main house. It's a suite not just a room. The fabulous breakfast is cooked to order and served in the host and hostesses dining room. The owners are really warm and caring. We felt quite pampered. You will notice all the attention to detail. The b and b is literally a stones throw from the beach and promenade. We were there in March. Because of the location and wonderful dwellings I think its a place that can be enjoyed all year round. I highly recommend it.
