Good hotel for a city break, a bit difficult to find. Staff were friendly, rooms were good and clean. Valencia is a big city, so location is Ok, close by bus to main sightseeings. Would recommend for short stays.
we asked and got a quiet room at the backyard as the aveniida del Puerto is quite busy (and in Spain people like to make noise quite late). Room and bathroom are not big and sober but correct and clean. Good mattress. Very friendly staff at reception and at breakfast. The latter is excellent. The location is in the middle between the old town and the new "city of science & arts". Valencia is a quite big city so biking is highly recommended (there are , for spanish norms, quite some biking roads, also on the Avenida del Puerto). You can rent bikes at the hotel but we advise to check them thoroughly on defects (my wife had technical problems but our money was returned). Above all not expensive and excellent price / quality ratio
We had great stay here. My 4 year old daughter was well looked after by the great staff in restaurant and reception. In particular the receptionist Isabel was very kind and friendly. Filled up my daughters milk bottle even after restaurant was shut on more than one occasion. Good value hotel. Excellent breakfast
The staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble. Rooms were on the small side and ours did not have an outside window and the air conditioning wasn't brilliant so I found the room a little stuffy. Breakfast was a small room and in busy times you had to wait for a bit but again staff were exceptional and managed to get us all fed. The choice was amble with fresh fruit, bread, meats and cheese. It was a good 20 minute walk to either the old town or to the beach which was annoying if you wanted to go there for dinner, so hotel a little too far out for me which is why I only gave it a 4 out of 5!
While the location is still somewhat centralized, it is a bit of a walk to see the sights. The room was clean, small bathroom with very little counter space (an issue for me in any hotel if there isn't room for even one person to put products on the counter). It was clean but we never got maid service and had to go down stairs to request additional towels, bed was not made and trash cans weren't emptied.
We were taken to a smoking room that was not acceptable to non smokers. We were moved to another room; air condition and fridge both not working. Complained to reception no action taken Bathroom in a terrible condition, dirty with cigarette burns on the side bath Booked via Accor’s website so complained on our return, three weeks ago, they said they will respond to our complaint but still not heard from either the hotel or Accor.
Very, very small room. Clear and cheap but small. Breakfast was quite limited by variety but near a great old bakery. The staff was courteous, friendly and helpful. location of the hotel was good. I visited the hotel again but if they have larger rooms.
1. Not the most convenient situation. Lengthy walk to the centre of Valencia or a bus ride on a service that is, shall we say, inconsistent in its scheduling. The regular service also ends at somewhere between 10 and 10.30 in the evening to go on to a night bus schedule which I found strange in a country where you can't eat until late and are therefore unlikely to finish early. 2. Could certainly be cleaner - particularly the bathroom floor. 3. Our room (205) looked out onto a small courtyard and therefore had no natural light - not too important as we were out from breakfast to early evening but I would advise trying to get a room at the front if at all possible (judging from the fact that in the breakfast room in the front on the first floor you could hear no traffic noise from the busy street outside this should note be a problem) 4. Fairly standard breakfast for this type of hotel. 5. On the positive side - friendly helpful reception staff and although the area is fairly nondescript generally I would recommend the Flor de Valencia restaurant just round the coener on Avenida Cardenal Benlloch which we went to one night when heavy rain kept us near the hotel.
My wife and I spent 4 nights in the hotel, we didn`t use other services like breakfast etc. Hotel room was clean, a thorough cleaning in the hidden edges of the bathroom sometimes might be good. The window was pointed against the shaft, so we did`t know exactly when there was a daybreak. We didn`t needed it actually, because we were all day out. The staff was friendly with sufficient knowledge of English. If you are more of a walker you need 10 minutes to Turia gardens, another 15 min to Plaza de Ayuntaimento or if you go South app, 30 minutes to the Port (marina Real).
All of the desk clerks speak English very well and are friendly and courteous. The room was smaller than some of the hotels that my wife and I stayed in in Spain but even though this was a street facing room, since it was on the 5th floor it was quiet. There was no kitchen but grocery stores, tapas bars and restaurants were nearby and there was snacks and drinks available in the lobby. There was a breakfast room on the first floor for extra fee and it had a large variety of cold cuts, fresh fruit, juices, coffee, cereal and breads. No eggs or bacon though. Gosh I sure missed bacon and eggs while I was in Spain. Spain is notorious for no on street parking but I think Valencia is the worst city we went to. Thank the Lord that the hotel had a 3 stall parking garage behind the hotel because Valencia also had the least parking garages of any city we went to. I would gladly re book a room at this hotel if I ever return to Valencia.
