Hi, I book the hotel through booking.com. As it appeared on the first page and on the top cheapest, so I grab it. I keyed in 'Gare Du Nord' which is the only place we like to stay everytime we go paris. Unfortunetely, this hotel was 30min away and i sent the email request to asked them if I can cancel it. And asked they other option about it. Despite several email sent, non of it have been replied. I called up the hotel and they twisted all words. And refuse to give the phone to the mananger. I had spent more then usd150 just to call them up. Very disapointed with all the staff. Very disapointed with the hotel service. They manange to charge me for 4nights staying. Yea... 7min of reservation cost me eur338. Never ever book this hotel and perhaps all hotels under Novotel group. Never responsible of what they have said. And asking me 'why did you cancel the reservation? Is your family member passed away?. Only then, we can do the refund'. Stupid argument ever.
This Hotel and its Management is DIS-HONEST, FRAUD,CHEAT AND LIARS. We made our reservations on ACCOR HOTELS Web site and it clearly says ‘ AIR CONDITIONED’ , OUR Reservation clearly says ‘PRICE INCLUDES Air Conditioning “ BUT when we reached the room –THE ROOM WAS HOT AS HELL and NO AIR CONDITION . There were controls on the wall but these were dummy controls, there was no air conditioning. We came down to the reception and requested the lady to get the air condition fixed. First she suddenly forgets to speak English, NOW, she speaks only French. She wants to see where does it say in writing that this hotel is air conditioned, so we show her our confirmation print out. NOW she starts blaming everybody, ACCOR hotels / web site / web site designer, her manager everybody on earth and gives us 3 choices.; 1) we should open the windows. 2) she can try and give us a small fan 3) why don’t we just go away and get lost. We asked to see the manager and the lady who comes out does not speak English, does not speak French she just doesn’t speak , she only makes faces and mumbles some non understandable gibberish.. We asked to refund our money and if they can help us find another hotel—THEY REFUSED TO REFUND OUR MONEY OR HELP FIND ANOTHER HOTEL. We refused to leave the hotel until they process refund to our credit card. She refused, when we threatened to call the police she runs inside and starts credit card refund but says it will take 4 days. We made reservations and moved to HILTON at ORLY BUT it costed us 50 Euros from CDG to NOVOTEL and then again 35 EURO to HILTON ORLY , PLEASE DO NOT STAY AT THIS FRAUD HOTEL - Novotel Paris Sud Porte de Charenton , 3-5 place de Marsaillias- 94227 CHARENTON LE PONT .
Stayed at this property in April 2017. The hotel is well maintained and quite. The location is pretty good and near to the metro station. Although, the hotel is quite far off from major tourist spots and one needs to travel a lot by metro to reach those places. We ended up spending a lot on metro tickets. One of the staff at the reception was superbly helpful and helped us understand all the paths to reach those places and that made our stay and commute very comfortable. Would not recommend this hotel(due to the proximity from city center), if one has limited days in Paris and needs to cover all major tourist attractions.
This hotel is in the great location. Many restaurants nearby and also have supermarket near it as well. Connect to city center very easy by metro no. 8 which is 100 meter far from hotel. Staffs are very helpful and friendly. It will be in my list for visit Paris in the future.
Lovely hotel, Very nice location , not too far from city centre! Taxi prices expensive as can expect in Paris! Hotel staff very nice, breakfast wasn't too bad your typical breakfast abroad! Nice size rooms lovely and clean.
Stayed here over the Easter break, great hotel in a nice area dead handy for the metro.check in easy rooms are good but if you want breakfast it's eighteen euros per person luckily there are two boulangeries just outside the hotel, So a great place to stop with the family would recommend this hotel
We stayed three days at the Hotel, everything work and was okay. It could have being nice if just one or two things could surprise you and give you that excellent experience. The room size and all the things in it was fine but there was missing a wardrobe and the separate toilet was really small but functional. Breakfast had what you want for breakfast and the quality and service was fine. The service at the front desk was really good and they were helpful in all matters. Parking of your car costed 20€ for each day we thought it was for free but we could have investigated a little better. Best things was the location 100 meter from a Metro station takes you into the heart of Paris in no time.
A hotel that provides good sized rooms by European standards, very well organised for a speedy check in of over 40 people, amenties were very good and the staff very helpful. The location is close to a local metro station (Liberte), and a quick trip by coach from the city centre as well. One the best hotels in Paris we have used with our group travels since 2006.
It was really, really odd. The bathroom door was about 1 foot too small to close. Image, if you may, a door closed completely- and a gap of one foot of space where you could watch the person sitting on the toilet. When I went to the front desk- they knew nothing of it. However the maids ( in the morning) knew what was going on. After we unpacked- we found this- then had to repack and move, Other than that- this reminded me of a college dorm. If you are looking for a nice romatic place- this isn't it. If you looking for a place to hang your shoes up and get a good nights sleep- this is it. Clean, comfortable- single beds. My wife liked tis place much bettter than the Airbnb we stayed at that was somewhat dirty. They have a breakfast buffet in the AM that was very nice. So there you have it Tripadviese's Good luck, good night. :)
I stayed 4 nights in Nov, Dec 2016. Hotel was clean, functional. I booed an executive room which had a big comfortable bed. Bathroom only had shower which was unfortunate for me as i love taking a bath after a long day. One negative thing was the lack of air conditioning in the rooms. They have some kind of air warming system which does not quite work well. The other not so great issue was hot breakfast which was exactly the same scrambled eggs, bacon and potatoes..... not so great. Hotel accessible via metro though it will take you over an hour to CDG airport as u need to change metros twice. Small shopping mall next to hotel very convenient for last minute purchases.
