I had a very large room, sleeping on a kind of stage with weird lighting. It took me 15 Min to switch off the lights that I could sleep. I could not switch off the light at the entrance and therefore needed to shut the door. The breakfast for 16 Euro is a challenge. There were hard kiwis at the fruit bowl which someone might eat waiting for another week. The tea offer was the worst that I have had in a hotel for a long time. The cheapest tea bags with the choice of one generic black, one generic green and another fruit tea. The breakfast for sure was not worth the money.

The hotel is at an excellent location with great views of the main square. The rooms need a bit of refreshing but the bed was comfortable and everything was clean. The breakfast was good and full of choice. The staff was nice and pleasant.

This is a very basic hotel. The hotel provides a squeeze bottle in the bathtub that is shampoo, conditioner and body wash and another by the sink. There is one shower cap as well and nothing else. Make sure to bring what you need. The mattress on the bed is quite thin, maybe two inches thick. Although the hotel is clean, it desperately needs an update. The chiming bells from across the street sound every 15 minutes all day and night.

We stayed here for a wedding that was held in Zeist. We had a suite that was very big--it had a large bedroom, one and a half baths, and a living and dining area. It was an ideal location for gathering prior to the wedding. The rooms were clean, the service was friendly and helpful.

Hotel FIGI was a wonderful experience. Staff were always very helpful to accommodate us in reservations, bus time and tours, taxi call, etc. Ziest is a lovely town with a very nice atmosphere. Breakfast buffet and Restaurant in FIGI was wonderful as well.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by friendly, helpful staff; nod to Lucia at the front desk. She shared some information about the area and nearby Utrecht, which was a great start to our stay. Our room provided plenty of comfort and space to move around. A fridge was provided, which helped keep drinks cool. I'll concur with other reviewers about the beds; while comfortable, the top pad indeed slides around a lot. Carpets looked worn and in need of deep cleaning or replacement. Beyond that, I enjoyed having space to move around and being able people-watch from the window. My main reason for 4/5 stars is the lack of air conditioning. Perhaps it's not a big deal to others but I prefer cool when I sleep and we happened to be there during a warm spell. Even with the windows open (and the steady chime of the bells across the street), it was uncomfortable. I can't blame them for the weather, but updating the building with A/C is suggested. That said, when I requested a fan from the front desk, it arrived within minutes and got a good workout during our four day stay. We only had breakfast on one day. The offerings looked fancy but weren't anything more than what you'd find at other hotels, and certainly not worth the 16 EUR. We enjoyed the restaurant the evening of arrival and that was a good experience. Overall, a good stay for the two of us and the location was ideal for our needs. Would love to return (indeed, my brother said he would) but the lack of A/C could be a deal breaker for me.

Hotel Theater Figi is located in the heart of Zeist, about a mile and a half from the railway station and close to a beautiful park. I spent three nights there recently and found it to be ok but nothing special. The hotel seemed like it must have once been rather grand. It has a very large lobby and sits opposite an impressive historic building. But I also got the impression it's a long time since it was last redecorated and brought up to date. Breakfast was distinctly average - nothing exciting (scrambled eggs - one lump or two?) and no tables are 'set' - you have to go and find all the cutlery and napkins yourself and coffee comes from a machine. The rooms are overdue for redecoration. There are spaces that look like they should have had a minibar in - but don't - and the world's tiniest kettle. The shower over the bath is in a position that doesn't make a lot of sense - it sprays towards the room not along the length of the bath. The beds are very Dutch - much too soft and with a thick soft pad on top that's not attached and so slides off in use. Nice staff, very convenient for where I needed to be, but nothing memorable about the place.

Whenever we are in Zeist, we stay at the Figi! The rooms are well looked after and the staff are excellent.. main draw card has to be the buffet breakfast though. A great mixture of cold cut meats, breads, yoghurt and cereal followed by bacon, eggs and sausages.. see you next year!

Figi annually hosts the annual PINC congresses, in 2017 for the 18th time. And I understand why the organisors return! The outstanding service of the staff, the excellent catering and the wonderful small and larger snacks, including the great buffet create a wonderful atmosphere where People, Ideas, Nature and Creativity flourish!

The Figi is a very nice hotel in a good central location in Zeist and about 40/60 minutes from Amsterdam. The rooms are large, clean and the beds are comfortable. They could do with a bit of tlc. The bathrooms are large and there is a shower over the bath. Wi-fi in the rooms. There was no fridge in ours although there was supposed to be and no tea and coffee making facilities which would have been nice. If you are looking for the hair dryer it is in the wardrobe as is the safe. All the staff were lovely and very helpful - there is a nice large reception area. The restaurant is very good and the staff here especially Lucas and Gola are very nice and helpful. The food was very good and the breakfasts are excellent with lots of choice and there is hot food as well - also the coffee is good. We enjoyed our stay here - we were on a coach tour to the bulb fields.
