Nice palace hotel, they have preserved and maintained well, rooms are good, view of Lake pichola is excellent from this hotel. They also have golf carts to ferry one to the entrance of the hotel. It's a huge palace Converted to a hotel!
The hospitality at Fateh Prakash Palace is a synonym to the phrase "Atithi Devo Bhava". They treat you like you are the only guest in the hotel. Everything was Superlative right from welcome to check out. The lake view from the room is mesmerizing and food at Sunset Terrace Restaurant is exceptional. This was my third stay with them. Looking forward to many more.
Stayed for 4 nights. Large rooms, great view of the lake. Located at the banks of the lake and with the palace. You can explore the palace heritage. Has an open resturant again at the lake and serves excellent food.
We had stayed at the hotel in monsoon. It was relatively an off season and we got a beautiful room overlooking the lake. The room had a huge window to enjoy the lake view to the fullest. You actually stay in a palace with state of the art amenities and very hospitable staff. Worth every penny you spend here.
Amazing property. It makes you feel like a king. The room was right on the lake and we had enchanting views all through the day. The restaurant is a little too expensive and that's the only thing thirty need to work on. Will definitely visit again.
What a stunning location for a hotel. I was lucky enough to get a suite overlooking the white marble lake palace. Staff very friendly and helpful, Breakfast in the sunset cafe was the perfect place to start the day and although basic it did the job! Room was spacious and clean and modern appliances. the pool area was in the other palace hotel and golf buggies were on hand to ferry you to and from. Wifi was free at this hotel again a very nice plus. Would recommend it.
We stayed in this Royal palace as being a part of "Big fat Indian wedding " It was an amazing experience staying at this palace....they have converted the place into luxurious hotel with all the rooms having ultra modern interiors and bathfittings..... all I can say staying is experiencing !!! I've attached 2 pictures one of the picchola lake view from our room during sunrise n another one from the roof terrace restaurant while having breakfast.
We stayed for 3 nights at the Fateh Prakesh Palace hotel, which forms part of the City Palace complex in the centre of Udaipur. The hotel faces directly onto the lake and our room (a Dovecote room) had a comfortable seating area with amazing views over the lake. The room itself (as with the rest of the hotel) was well appointed and clean. Breakfast was average – we had a lot better at other hotels on our trip but there was a variety of options and it is served on the terrace with beautiful views of the lake (this terrace is also popular for sunset drinks/dinner). The design of the hotel is a little strange in that, to access breakfast you need to exit the main building and walk uphill for 150 metres or so to access the terrace. Golf buggies are available if you need them. We were also able to use the swimming pool at the sister hotel, Shiv Niwas, which is also within the same complex. The Fateh Prakesh Palace is at the opposite end of the City Palace complex to the main ‘downtown’ area; so a 15-20 minute walk (or shorter with a golf buggy ride) through the palace area itself each time you want to go anywhere. That said, it was nice to be able to walk through there at night when there was no one else around. Generally, I would recommend it for the amazing views and for a decent level of service and comfort (if not the most charming or luxurious accommodation).
We stayed in a suite that was like a self contained palace overlooking lake Pichola. The facilities were great,we had a massage that relaxed our well travelled muscles. A ride around the lake and visit to the Maharajas Island Palace is a must. Only regret was not enough time time to study and visit the incredible history of the area.
We had a suite over looking the lake & lake Palace hotel , it was fantastic view specially in the morning. Our suite had Three sitting Place , large comfortable bed With excellent pillows . Very clean , tea / coffee making facility. we were there to attend annual Maharana Mewar award function which we enjoyed very much. If you are in Udaipur chose this hotel to feel Royal. It is Worth the price you pay for. Staff is very friendly , helpful & smiling all the time.Service is excellent and Food is superb .
