What a lovely environment to stay in. The grounds and shared spaces are well maintained. The room was perfectly clean (if a little tired in places) and the staff were all lovely and responsive to requests. We dined at the poolside bar a couple of times and the food was lovely. Will definitely aim to be back.
Loved the beautiful location and wonderful amenities. Given an upgrade to plunge pool room. Kids loved it. Could only improve with an oven in kitchen and some more kitchen utensils. Looking forward to coming back again soon.
This is a great family resort. Customer service was great, so was food and location. This will be our regular family holiday spot as we don’t need to drive anywhere, just park the car and enjoy the location.
Excellent facilities and location for a relaxing short holiday. Great value and stayed on ground floor which was an excellent spot to access pool. Even though it was school holidays with lots of families did not feel overly busy.
10/10! Have stayed at this resort multiple times over the last few years and it never fails to provide the best experience. Always provides an excellent stay and service. Would highly recommend the buffet breakfast.
I have slept in many hotel beds before. This king bed was the worst ever for both my wife and I. The mattress itself was fine but the cheap chipboard foundation underneath meant that every time you turned it creaked and groaned. After tolerating for two of our seven night stay, I let reception know. That lead to a visit from housekeeping who had received the same feedback before and were aware of these beds being replaced but not all of them. Lucky us!! Peak season meant a full house and we couldn’t be moved. Fair enough. Housekeeping offered to put a doona under the mattress but I declined. I think they knew as well as I did that wouldn’t fix it. She apologised and said we would get a call from management. That call never came. A pity really. Particularly with a full house you thought we would have been looked after somehow. It’s sad really wouldn’t have taken much. This was our fifth time to Kingscliff but first at Peppers. They won’t care as it’s all the same owner but after the extra cost for Peppers we’ll be back at Mantra next time. Sorry Peppers, you failed!
Located halfway between Byron and the Goldie, we couldn't have picked a better location for our last minute summer escape! The 3 bedroom Bale Apartment was perched above the beach with ocean views and a lovely open balcony. Beautifully fitted out, it had everything we needed - our only request would have been a BBQ! The Bale pool was divine and we spent most afternoons there after morning beach time and other short trips to Byron and the Gold Coast theme parks. Highly recommended!!
My family of 4 have just returned from a nine night stay in a 2 bedroom spa apartment at Peppers. It was so good, we have already booked again! This resort has an awesome pool, a stroll from beautiful restaurants ranging from casual to more a-la-carte, a 5 minute walk to the patrolled beach and a 5 minute bike ride to the river, Take your bikes to ride along the bike track to the river where you can hire paddleboards or kayaks or continue along into Kingscliff itself. We bought a Digital Entertainment book to make the most of deals and discounts which included the majority of the restaurants at Salt and Peppers and local surf and bowling clubs on the beach. We saved a great deal. We also booked our apartment on Stayz rather than through Peppers itself...saving us over $1000! Yes there are alot of children at this resort because it appeals to families.... but around lunch time, the pool was quiet when the little ones have an afternoon nap...yeah for us. Yes the pool area needs more shade, but we just took our own beach umbrella and put it up in the sand around the pool lounges. Our aparment overlooked the park which was peaceful and we could watch the kids ride their bikes around the park or walk across the road for their gelato. A wonderful location on the edge of QLD. Well worth the drive!
Spa Suite room was good, [only negative was poor bathroom air extraction (but in fairness this is a common design flaw inherited by many hotels)]. Service staff very responsive. Peak season, so room cost was HIGH, hence the lower rating on value. Overall a very enjoyable experience and great location for the beach and restaurant strip.
See my previous report. You need to charge less or alternatively redo the rooms!! Bad value for money. Charge less or give better quality of rooms, cleaner, better facilities. Pool food outrageously expensive.
