It's a little old fashion and because it was rainy outside not enough seating inside for breakfast for all guests. Room furnishings appeared old and not quite functional. Could use updating, room prices were expensive.
This is hotel is out of town but close to a location where lot of events are held. It is well done for a 30 year old hotel and is comfortable but it is showing some wear. There is no bar or restaurant close so if you are at an event it works great but if you are looking for something convenient to food then go downtown.
We stayed at the Jack Warner because our son was in a tennis tournament at the neighboring North River Yacht Club. The Jack Warner is a little dated from a décor standpoint, but it's clean, the staff is helpful, and in it's in a good location. I'd definitely stay there again.
Me and my wife came down for the Alabama spring game/A-Day absolutely loved this place wonderful staff and great pricing we will be back again next year Roll Tide!!!!! The paintings and artwork on display are amazing too by the way and breakfast was on point!
Bed linens were not cleaned from the last person that slept in the room. There were beer caps, ear plugs and random trash throughout the room. The air conditioning was also out on the night is our stay. The continental breakfast did not offer any drinks. Overall, we had a poor experience and would not recommend. We do not plan on going back to this hotel. The room furnishings were also out of date and the rooms need to be updated.
Continental breakfast lacks a lot. Served from 8-10. Arrived at 8:25, no eggs, no bacon. Took over 30 minutes to get eggs (scrambled should not take that long). Never did get any bacon. You could have built a house with the biscuits (hard).
Poor service. The staff was Not prepared to serve breakfast to the entire hotel. When questioned they seemed agitated. Food took a very long time to be put out and replaced when needed. This caused a long delay in the morning. If you cannot do it right I would suggest not offering the breakfast
Our first choice when the hotels close to campus are full. Don’t hesitate to stay here. Furnishings are not modern but you have what you need. Continental breakfast included. Staff friendly and helpful.
Setting was exceptional, right on Lake Tuscaloosa, in the woods, at the end of an interesting golf course. We took advantage of the location & took walks around the property & the Yacht Club. Manager was friendly & attentive. Yacht Club proved to be an extraordinarily beautiful venue for wedding reception.
There was no way to identify who was the staff. They all had on blue jeans and t-shirts. The TV in the so call lobby was on a shelf with cords hanging everywhere and it was leaning so bad I thought it would fall over. Staff employee working at night when we came in was openly drinking. No coffee out on Sunday morning until 7:30am and I had to ask for it then. Very dirty hotel
